Good morning ! Nothing for me either but it seems to be happening :)))

Are you transferring from iCloud or going from scratch ?
Since iOS 14 the WiFi on my phone is slower . Great on other devices .

I’ve been doing the direct “put new phone next to old phone” transfer since it’s been available (iOS 10?) and I always had great result, so I’m doing that again.

Well then , Might try that then. Never done it before ..

Starting always from scratch. Never any backup. Backups where just Backups for the case that something super important is broken or does not work.
Here still preparing for Shippment in GER.

Personally I usually do an encrypted backup on my Mac and then I restore that backup on the new phone after having completely erased and removed the old phone from iCloud. At least that's what I did 3 years ago with my 8+.

I remember back then that the health data on the phone could only be transferred via an encrypted backup (not sure), but to be fair I'm not sure at all if that's still the case.

Just another question please. When you do that, do you transfer you sim card before to the new phone ???

I do. It’s not a requirement, though. My process with new iPhones (every year 🙈): Unpack the new phone, take the SIM card out of the old phone, put it into the new phone, start the new phone, initiate the transfer process. Takes about half an hour to an hour, and the new phone has the same contents as the old phone. I then wipe the old phone and usually sell it.

I take pretty much the same approach (every 2 to 3 years 😁). Put SIM into new phone. Initiate the new phone by placing the old one next to it - it will retrieve account information (iCloud etc.).
Then I plug it to my Mac and restore the backup from my previous phone. I wouldn't want to set it up as a new phone because this means I would lose a lot of app data. I got some apps configured to do certain tasks and the pain of having to set them up again (more than just a few minutes, involves approval process etc.) makes me prefer a restore from an encrypted backup.
Old phone gets erased once I'm 100% sure the new one is functional, i.e. I'll test all my important apps first.

Same here, just signed up at DHL On Demand Delivery :-D

I order a 12 pro 128 Gb blue with a delivery address in Switzerland. Apple still mention a delivery date on the 23.10. but remain in "Preparation for Shipping", I sign up at DHL On Demand Delivery but I have no shipment information. I know that in Switzerland they often use TNT for the logisitic.

Thats the way I do it too because a lot of (for me important) data is only transferred if its encrypted. iCloud-Backup should work too I guess but not that fast (?).

It depends. I get almost always DHL for accessories, but my watch was delivered via TNT. My phone 3 years ago was DHL. I sure hope it's DHL, as they are pretty reliable in their timings and so. I guess it depends from which hub the shipment is coming from (Prague, Eindhoven, Milan)...

You guys are a big help . Thank you so very much ! Now I'm waiting to get my shipping confirmation ;-))
On the DHL app I just downloaded I found a former delivery ( A watch band), It went from NL to Belgium and then France and was only delivered to me at 18h46 the next day. Long days ahead tomorrow , hoping there is no glitch 🤞🏻🤞🏻

In my case (I live in a small town on the mountain) Is impossible to receive the phone tomorrow. I hope Monday could be the day

Just received my shipping information via DHL (iPhone 12Pro, 256GB, Blue, ordered via apple). They confirmed delivery for tomorrow. Current status is "shipping information received". Shipping origin is CZ.

So for the moment it looks like Germany only is getting the notifications .

While I have received the info from DHL there is no word from Apple as of now. Apple order status still says "preparing for shipment".

Hello my EU friends,

I'm from the UK forum and just wanted to drop by and say Hi.

Orders are preparing for dispatch in UK with aim to have delivery on Friday. Hoping to have tracking on Thursday for Friday delivery. As you probs know, UK is a small island therefore next day delivery can happen day before dispatch.

Some of us got iPhone 12 Pros 256/512 for £849 through Amazon miss price and it seems they are honouring the deal!

Btw, I'm not one of those who voted to leave you beautiful people.

Much Love,
United Kingdom
It's an European forum. Not only EU. We have Swiss people here as well (there's at least two of us) 🥳🤣

I wouldn’t be so pessimistic. I live in a relatively small city 300 km up north of Helsinki and I always got my Apple deliveries on the expected day.

Hey,

My iPhone order is currently processing, it was scheduled for delivery this Friday but for some reason it got updated to the 28th. Have any of you had this issue? I'm buying it from Apple.com/nl and am in The Netherlands, my card didn't even get charged yet for the phone, just for the accessories that arrived already from DHL 🙃
