At 6am I was able to reserve a 256GB Sillver model for pickup today in Amsterdam, which is nice as I think I’ll keep Silver and surprise a friend who’s eagerly awaiting a 256GB SG pre-order.

Anyone knows what’s the deal here?

X, 64GB, space gray in Norway.
I received mine on 3 Nov. It was DOA.
I ordered a 2nd one right away, "Delivers 27 Nov - 4 Des"

They claim to process the replacements faster, but since it takes so long to return i feel its not gonna make a difference at the end (maybe a few days). They claimed at first that they will ship the replacement before they receive the faulty one. It seems the first employee lied to me from the aftersales department. Not only they lied about the replacement, but they didnt even start the process of the return. I had to call again an start over.... etc etc

Good thing I ordered the second one on my own right away. (Not) Funny detail, the employee that lied to me, suggested to cancel the second order, since the replacement would come very fast. -- Poor service in this case.

I had a similar estimate last year with TNT. It took maximum a week for the phone to arrive from China. I had received the phone, and the apple store still had the original estimate.

Germany: Ordered on 10/27, 9.10-9.15, got 11/21-11/28 windows. Still the same, nothing changed until now.

Update: Shipped on 11/13, estimated delivery 11/28.

So, I just decided to cancel my order from Apple Online Store, because it drives me nuts seeing all these posts from people that are even in the IUP program, while still having to wait a long time themselves. Let alone how long it'll take before I get mine (which would've been 4-11 December). Gonna try and reserve one as soon as I get my money back... which will take another few days as well.

Hopefully there'll be at least one of the three Apple Stores here in the Netherlands that have the silver 64 GB model in stock.
