I'm the opposite, I'm doubting between Standard and even more zoomed in. My eyes can't handle tiny text for some reason (and I'm not old lol).

Related question: Do you leave True Tone on? Seems to make the screen really odd colours near the lights above my desk.
I do have True Tone on and no issue despite using Philips Hues with 4500K at day and 2700K at night.

To all people who have the 14" MBP: do you use the native display scaling or "more space"? I kinda struggle to find the right setting. I feel like the default is far to big and the text size is a bit too small on the other setting.View attachment 1899506

I recommend Mehr Fläche. Under Einstellungen, Bedienungshilfe, Zoom there is a very practical function which you can zoom into the current resolution if the light is poor or small text cannot be read.

Been enjoying my 16” Max and went today to the Apple Store in Berlin to check the 14”. Going to stick with the 16” in the end.

Staff at Apple and Gravis were both shocked to hear I already had my custom M1 Max, they’re getting barely anything in stock. Just to put it into perspective for those who received or are about to receive :)

Wow… boys and girls we did get passed 1000 posts this afternoon…!

I’d say it was kind of a slow start but it became a wild and fun journey for sure with lots of anxiety and desperate flight tracking…
Many stories already have happy endings…

But it’s still not over yet! Some are still eagerly waiting for tracking information to update and planes to get on and off…

So let’s keep it up!

The INCREDIBLE performance is my favorite part about this laptop.
I also really like the design, the new ports, the screen, the new webcam. And having no Touch Bar anymore is also on the plus side.

But how is it possible that after using this computer for very heavy work tasks yesterday night this morning it still has 16% of battery left????? I didn't even charge it once! It arrived with something like 85%.

I'm expecting my Maxed out 14" today!! I'm so excited I hear the doorbell every minute but it never rings. ?

Here is some good explanation in German which explains it well.

Finally ordered my 14 inch M1 Pro with 32GB RAM on the 27th, waiting for its delivery in the 1st-8th December window... yet at the same time checking the order status everyday ?. From what I've seen in this thread some orders have remained in "Processing" for the majority of the waiting period, but I just can't wait to upgrade as this'll be my first M1 Mac :D

EDIT: Out of curiosity, has anyone in Belgium had UPS actually deliver to their address during the pandemic? My one always delivers to a nearby pickup point, no matter what. It's not a problem but just wondering.

Hello everyone, I just ordered a base 14” with 1TB SSD. It should arrive between 10-16 December, but Apple has already hold the money in my bank account. Is that normal? I thought Apple only charges you when the item gets shipped.

It's a reservation, they haven't actually taken the money out. The actual charge will take place when shipped.

Thanks!

I'm asking because a friend of mine bought one last week and he didn't have any reservations on his bank account, and estimated delivery is just a week before mine.

When I bought the iPhone 13 Pro this September I actually got charged the same day I got the shipping confirmation email though.

Apple gets the permission here that they can withdraw that money from your bank account at any time. This is because Apple does not produce in stock for these factory orders, but only exactly what is ordered. That means nothing is produced without bank account authorization. In any case, this has always been the case with my Mac orders.
