Wait, I haven’t looked in this thread and now there’s a ‘lost batch’? So we’ve went from a mechanical failure one week to a lost pallet for Europe the other week? What’s next week?

Oh man, sorry to hear that. :( Someone mentioned that UPS is short-staffed in China so maybe there is a bottleneck after clearing customs? Mine was not scanned or updated after the customs check until the shipment left Shanghai.

If you don’t mind, can you share your detailed UPS tracking? You can exclude last mile (your city).

Yeah, that's why I'm suspecting a bottleneck. The items are there, ready to go but there's a shortage of either staff or cargo capacity. Let's hope yours will be on the next plane! If it isn't, at that point I'd contact Apple or UPS. These are expensive purchases so it can be nerve-wracking to be kept in the dark.
 
Is it normal that my status of CTO order went from "prepare shipping" to "shipped" within one day and tracking says its already in the netherlands? So no airtravel. All with DHL Express. Apple said it will come 15.11 and old date was 16 - 23.11. seems wrong.

I have the same timeframe. It stopped 5:27. Ordered 19/10/21

14-inch silver base model with US keyboard.



My original estimated delivery was 11-17 Nov.

When it shipped the status changed to 05 on apple’s website. 08 with on UPS website.

Now with this delay, the Apple website changed back to 11-17

Destination Spain.

Still no invoice.

Credit card charged on 04/11. No pending transaction.
 
In my case it went back to 16-27 Nov. but credit card was charged on Oct, 27.
question is : are our laptops lost (or damaged or whatever) for real and apple is going to deliver different ones, or it is just tracking issue.
 
I looked at the flights schedule. Safe to estimate that at this stage the earliest, when hanging laptops can arrive to Cologne is Sunday evening. Which put probability to receive on Monday next to zero, unless you are in proximity of Cologne (local delivery from cologne hub). Till Tuesday there is no point to expect

I think usually apple tracking for macs starts in a warehouse either Prague or the Netherlands…

So I guess it’s possible that they have started to send some macs directly to the warehouses and that you got one of those…
I think I read about at least 1-2 other reports of mac that start their tracking history in the Netherlands…

but how you can watch the shipment of the mbp you ordered?
How the order was made? And information they gave you?

You will see that information in your order as soon as Apple shipped it. Then you can also access that information at the transport company app or website.

And now it changed back to "On the way" and "check again later for scheduled delivery". :rolleyes: It's only a 3-hour drive from the capital region to here so should still be doable today.
 
What has been everyone's approx delivery dates for 16" CTO? I've made an order yesterday and I was told it could take approx 4 - 6 weeks, which I was quite surprised about. So I'm wondering if they even manage to deliver it before end of the year...
 
Finally today I had the Amex sms with the confirmation of the charge and after the "preparing of shipment" in the Store. My 16" max very probably tomorrow will start the trip to come home :) I live in Italy, close to Turin

Someone here with expected delivery date 17.11. to 24.11. whose order has already fallen on "Will be prepared for shipping"?
