I also thought the same but obviously it is not prioritized. We'll need to have a talk with our apple business rep.
In any case the order just moved to "preparing to ship" so maybe I'll get it in the next few days.
That's great news, trust me. My total waiting since "PTS" to "Shipped" were 2 days, then 4 to arrive to NL and 1 to get it home (Barcelona), so the Macbook is possibly just one-week-ish away from you.

Btw, I've taken the bait again and started another waiting game, I think @Jinjin did the same ?

I did it just for the laughs, but really? 6 to 8 weeks for a polishing cloth? You crazy people (myself included of course cause I ordered one ?)

hello world, first post here but wanted to share my experience.

- Ordered a custom build in the 10s of November.
- "dispatched" on the 27th via Shangai and Seoul.
- "Departed" from Seoul on 30/11
- "Arrived" in Germany on 30/11 and cleared the Köln customs after some hours.

Final destination in Germany. Original Apple ETA 8-15th December, then updated by UPS to 1st of December.

Yesterday, after missing the deadline and receiving no more updates I get in touch to UPS and they tell me that the package has not arrived even to Germany.
UPS's tracking system is currently messed up, my theory is that they "optimistically" give the tracking updates because according to the online tracking the package has cleared German customs, but according to their customer service the shipping is not yet in Germany. Today I asked them again and they told me they had still no scan AKA not in Germany still.

I called Apple and they told me that they are guessing the package to arrive on the 6th of December and they can see the package being "at the terminal" at the german airport. I feel nobody has a clue on where the damn package is, I just hope that the MBP was left behind in Seoul and now is catching up on today's flight..

Non-Update: I called Apple and they said the package is still in China and stuck at the customs, while the tracking has gone through Seoul and Germany (see screenshot). Delivery on the phone postponed to a week later, to Monday 6th. I'm crossing my fingers but I am already hopeless, anyone else has been through the same?

This is very strange, mine was shipped through DHL and we did not receive updates since the label was created till it really arrives to Europe, but this behaviour was expected, I also frightened past wednesday, when two of my "flight mates" received the SMS 1h30m prior than myself that their Macs arrived but mine didn't. After 1h of waiting and not getting it, I called Apple and told them to please contact DHL to get more details about my package cause I was afraid it's been lost, no further info was given, tracking was stuck on "Label created" for both and all Apple told me "please be patient, your package will arrive within the ETA", literally when I hang up, the SMS arrives and to be delivered 1 week before their estimate.

So, IMHO, Apple is even more blind than Couriers, and what's strange is, Couriers don't usually mess with the "tracking" unless your package really is where it says it is, most of the times, this is delayed info, but meant to be trusted, so if they really f*** it up, yeah, it's really a big chaos.

Hope they get it sorted soon and it's just a computer error, summed to their black friday-christmas congestion maybe, cheers buddy.

Yeah, my cloth also went to "Processing" but the CC hasn't been charged yet, and if one thing this waiting game showed me, is they don't charge till they're really almost ready to start your shipping process :D

At least I have plenty of really-soft microfiber clothes (those that you use with glasses) and similar to the original ones that Apple shipped with the old MBPs, so if my screen gets in anyway sort of "stain-gate", I can always say to them "look, I've ordered your cloth, but arrives in 2 months, was I supposed to not clean my screen till that moment?" ?

edit: just saw your 8-10 weeks, even more, omg

Go to a Genius Bar and they kindly will clean your screen. (En Barcelona hay Apple Store).

I purchased a M1pro 16” by telephone call on November 17. Estimated arrival to Spain: 2-10 December. Still “processing“, no charge on my bank account by now.

Are you serious about it? Never thought I could ask a Genius about that, maybe I'll try regarding those concerns and the cloth arriving ETA, lol

Yeah, I know regarding the stores, in fact the first version I got was from "Apple Store La Maquinista" cause I live nearby, but then I had to jump for the 32GB boat, so had to exchange it and order custom.

What config did you order? I placed mine (M1 Pro 14" 10CPU/16GPU/32GB RAM/1TB SSD) on 16th Nov (late evening) as mentioned at the Apple Store but to be delivered at home, delivery at the store wasn't an option at that moment ... first predicted dates were 10th-16th Dec and received it last Thursday (2nd Dec) and the CC pre-auth was made on the 23th, it really seems 16" is taking longer.

Ánimos, de verdad, que sé que la espera se hace eterna ;)

…About Genius Bar, I was seriously joking. I can imagine someone asking for cleaning while waiting for his/her magic cloth, and wonder if it has already happened (in this crazy world)! :)

I ordered the standard 16” middle tier, pro CPU, 16GB RAM, 1TB SSD, silver.
There’s no pattern in delivery time, I believe. Too many different machines to assemble, not just because offered specs, but also BTO “build train”, and keyboard language (how many different layouts do exist?).
But this is an entertaining thread; kind of fun and relief… (There’re threads about dents, spots, keyboard issues… This is more relaxing)

Yes. We can feel the hunger.

I ordered a 16" M1 Max with CPU 10‑core, GPU 32‑core, Neural Engine 16‑core 64gb/1 Tb to Italy as well, actually ordered one day before you and is still processing with a window Dec. 7-15.
BTW this was ordered through the business channel, not retail.

Takes too long.
Same here. I ordered through a business reseller. They say that the availability is in 30 working days (so 42 calendar days or so).

I didn't order through a business reseller, this is a company computer and since we buy a couple of hundred Apple laptops every year we have a direct contact with an apple business representative so we buy directly from Apple Italy. I usually buy my personal computers from the same channel as well. The idea is that being a big company and generating a lot of sales for Apple we should have a priority over retail, which in this case didn't work

Yeah, maybe i'm the first one to try it after your crazy idea, just for laughs :p

Since you're going with a standard model, wouldn't it be easy to purchase it from a local Apple Store/Authorized Seller, knowing that you're a "paisano", there's no store nearby your location? Or did you order with an specific keyboard layout diff from spanish one?

Telling you this, cause at least in Barcelona, that model is currently now in stock, same as on Murcia, Zaragoza and Madrid and even if it's out of stock on Valencia (or any other) they tend to refill pretty fast.

That’s funny (peculiar). Yeah, my country shops have units like I’ve ordered, possibly. I’m too far from any Apple Store or reseller; I’d had to add travel time and costs only bearable in an urgency.
No rare specs were selected in my purchase, but I suppose once the reservation is made to central, it goes to China; they don’t lose time managing products inside countries or areas.
But, in fact, I prefer making my Apple purchases by phone if they are expensive. I ask for “education discount“ (teacher here) if aplicable, and this special step is better attended by phone, with a person who is concentrated in me and has my customer history at sight (I hope -vainly perhaps- that being Apple user for 30 years grants some special attention).
I’m happy and somehow surprised, as they lowered exactly 10% to final price :), which is the biggest discount I’ve ever had from Apple in a new device.

I'm also in the 6:03 Shanghai club. Expected delivery Monday to the UK
Any news from anyone in the 6:03 Shanghai club?
The UPS App says delivery planned for 03.12.2021 between 11:45 and 15:45, but that did not happen. The tracking data has not been updated since Dec 1st.

similar situation here. Supposed to arrive on 1st of December, UPS tracking says arrived in Germany, while UPS customer support says package stuck at the Chinese custom. Apple delayed the ETA to today, but is clearly not arriving today since the package is still in China.

After some frustrations I convinced them to open an investigation and they will let me know within 10 days.

My 2 cents, ask UPS customer support what's up and if the tracking is aligned with their knowledge...

Hope you get it sorted soon, your timeline package misplacement in the tracking system was weird, and it really seems a mistake, IDK if it comes from Apple or UPS, but in your case they f****d it up, so congrats to get some customer rights with that investigation.

As I told you on Saturday, they don't tend to mess with origin/departure scans since they're phisically allocated there, that would be a serious failure in their IT system unless they can update also manually and if that's the case, all goes down to human error again. So, your only reliable proof that your package is still in China is from UPS CS right? What's exploding in my mind, is why the hell their databases are not unified/synced, I wish I knew how logistic works, so I'd be glad when your investigation is over and you get your MBP to hear what happened.

Keep it up buddy! ?

Just called UPS. Worst 60 Cent spent. Ever.
All the guy from "customer service" said was "the parcel has not arrived yet".
No information on where it is, when it should arrive, nothing.

Last record is still from 6:03 1st Dec. UPS tracking states that it should be delivered today but last location is still Shanghai so unless they can teleport it....

6:03 Shanghai connection here (shipping to Belgium).

Just called Apple. According to the operator, the parcel went to NL (some UPS hub) first and should be delivered today... Although tracking info from UPS are still showing Shanghai. Wait and see...
I will reply in this thread if any update.

On the one hand it would be nice if it was like that for me too, on the other hand I cant stay home all day long just for the chance of them delivering it today/ tomorrow/... without any further announcement..

So does the customer service been able to push people’s order from Processing towards Preparing to Ship or see what currently is “processing”?

Do you think I got any chance to receive my mac this week?
Or at least in the time window they gave me?

Order: 16'' Max/32/64GB/1TB
Order date: 11/11
Delivery window: 9/12 - 16/12
