Hmm, bummer... isn't working for me. Well, delivery on Friday should be certain anyway
Preordered iPhone 11 Friday at 14:00 with delivery date 20th.
Today they will be delivering my case + screen protector, but the phone window is 3-7 October since yesterday, even if in the confirmation mail all the items were set to 20th.
Called Apple, but they weren't able to provide an explanation beside: "we had lot of orders".
Kinda pissed right now.

Maybe your package is on a different shipping company such as DHL.
My delivery date has changed to 2 weeks later today (11pro-mg-256) - was 25 Sep - 30 Sep, now 8 Oct - 14 Oct.

Good to know. I didn't know that Apple does stuff like that.
In the past, I've only seen them changing the delivery date to a closer date, not to one that is further away.
I would have liked at least a notification from them, with the possibility to cancel the order.
Instead I realized that just because yesterday I checked the status after they charged the import for cover, screen protector and Apple Care +, but not the one for the phone itself.
Now I am sitting here with my brand new (and empty) cover.

that will be still normal.
I´ve ordered a new iphone every year since 2014 (in Germany). For EU it´s quite normal. The devices will come directly from China. You will see a notification (shipped) earliest when the phones arrived in the EU. That means, normally you can expect the shipment notification (and also the tracking number) on Wednesday evening, or Thursday morning. This would be the case all the last years (for Germany) when you got delivery at launch day.
For US delivery, the people will get a tracking number directly from China, also they can track via reference with the "W" number from Apple order.
I´ve ordered a 11 pro max 256gb midnight green for store pick up in Cologne for Friday. For this, I´ll not expect a pick up notification before Thursday evening.
For pick up, you will get never a tracking number, you will only get a notification when the device arrived at the store.
So, no worry, you will get it in your Hands on Friday, for sure. Please let me in the loop if I will be right... ;-)
Fellow Austrian here. Also still preparing for shipment with a delivery date on the 20th. I ordered 30 seconds after they opened sales.

:Ordered on Sunday morning (Pro gold 64GB) - delivery date Friday 20th and still at stage 1 of the shipping process.
Guess it will be shipped from Stranice (CZ) where the warehouse is located to Praha (CZ) to Leipzig (GER) to Bratislava (SVK) to Vienna on Thursday afternoon just as my leather case did which arrived today (DHL).
EDIT: just changed to „preparing for shipment“.

I ordered from Tele2 in Sweden. My 11 PRO 256gb still says only that the order has been created and should be delivered within 7 days of the ordering date, so still on track for the 20th. I have a feeling though that that will be when it gets delivered to Tele2 and then they will have to pack it and send it to me so it could be somewhere around the 23rd.
Ordered 2 iPhone 11s on Friday and another on Sunday. All are preparing to be shipped and delivered on the 20th.
No tracking number but I'm used to getting it on Thursday. So far I haven't been billed I can however see that Apple has put the amount on hold with my bank.

EU people will get a notification as soon as the phones are in a EU warehouse (Eindhoven in most cases I think), at least .. this was the case with previous releases.
This will be probably Wednesday evening or Thursday early morning.
DHL delivery’s can be changed (timeframe, leave at reception/neighbor) using the delivery.dhl.com website as soon as you have a tracking / waybill number.

Coming from Prague, as always.I ordered yesterday from amazon.de and was surprised to see that my iPhone 11 Pro / 512 GB / Space Gray will arrive on saturday, 21/09. I expected a longer waiting period, but it seems my unit is still among the first batch of phones.

Yes, I also expect that happen .. I was re-reading the 2017 topics and that year I've received the shipping notification Thursday around 12:15.
I saw both in this topic and in a topic on a Dutch forum that peoples delivery date changed from 20th September to early October...that's not good :-(
