My MacBook and the USB-C-Adapter finally arrived at 09:35 h :)

To be honest the new MacBook is one of the most nice Apple Notebooks i had before.

Before i had the MacBook Pro Retina 13,3", which is also a very nice Notebook. But the new MacBook is even more nice :)))

I'm still waiting for my base model SG from Apple, estimated 15-29th May. In the mean time I've had two from John Lewis ... and both have been returned due to build quality issues that I wasn't prepared to accept. Slightly annoying, as the second I returned today (a dodgy F1 key - it worked but felt like it had 'collapsed' so the key action was quite different from all the others) was the 1.2, which I've decided was the model I should have ordered from Apple in the first place. At this point in time, though, I'd just be happy to receive one without any issues.
 
It's here and it's gorgeous. If anyone has any doubts about getting one, quite simply; don't. Such an impressive piece of kit.

Im typing this on my new space grey rMB, for anyone concerned about the keyboard difference, it took me all of 30 seconds to get used to it, and I LOVE IT!!.

The macbook itself presents very well, you will fall in love with the new screen and its clarity.

My only beef is the one USB-C socket, but we all knew that was the case before we parted with our hard earned cash....

Anyways for peeps still waiting, keep the faith, the wait is WORTH IT!!

Sorry guys, I was a few days off. Went on a little vacation to Italy, so I wasn't able to check and update the thread.

If I'm right everything is up-to-date?

Gorgeous - I am all excited again! Did you not take this beauty to Italy?

Drove into work today and there was a UPS van making a delivery. My heart fluttered even though I knew I still have at least 2 weeks maybe three still to wait.

Looks like we're in the same boat. Ordered base model SG at 1300 BST on the 10th April, still 'Processing' with 15th-29th delivery estimate :(

Haha yeah I took my beauty with me!! Can't live without this MacBook anymore #....

Hopefully you'll get an email soon from Apple with will say that's is dispatched! But I know how it feels to wait even when many already have one.....
 
Just got notification that my Macbook estimated delivery has been pushed back to June 9 - so much for a two week turn around using the 3rd party distributor #
 
Mine is ready to dispatch, it changes this morning (ordered 23th april). The deliver is estimate next month between 5 and 17 and so it doesn't change.
 
I'm hoping that a few people who have been lucky enough to receive their rMB already are still reading this post.

Can anyone let me know how the actual delivery date compared to the original delivery estimate? So out of the two week window that most people are given, has it generally shipped towards the earliest date, latest date or somewhere in the middle? I'm in the UK if that helps.

I had a delivery window of 8th-14th May and got mine on the 6th. I'm also in the UK and ordered on release day. I think a lot of UK orders arrived that day and all would be 2 days early.

Thanks for the info!

Unfortunately I didn't order mine until 6th May! Hopefully the shipping process remains the same though as that would mean I only have a couple of weeks left to wait rather than a month!

So excited to see this as I ordered on 26/4 with estimate 1-12/6 so hopefully I'll see my order start change from processing by the weekend :D

Missed this thread, SG 1.3 512 changed to "dispatched" yesterday, I made the mistake of saying ship everything together and it says estimated delivery of 27th with some of the added cables :( Anyone know if they tend to come earlier and who delivers in the UK please?

Excited and hoping it arrives much sooner!

Mine just moved to "preparing for shipment" - SG 1.3, ordered 23rd of April. I live in Germany.

How long does it normally take from preparing for shipment to delivery?

Usually it takes less than a day to change from "preparing for shipment", to "shipped".

From then, until it gets to you, it's all in the hands of the shipping company. (It's next day where I am, but it depends on how far away it's coming from)
