For anyone in the UK, Costco has 1.2/512 SG and Sliver in stock. Ordered yesterday and received today...

So so tempting but as above, getting discount so having to wait patiently...

I ordered...
  • on 13th of May
  • a 1.3GHz/256/Space Grey
  • out of Belgium
Delivery window is 10 - 23 jun... and still processing :-/.

Costco doesn't provide a deep discount usually??

Looking at their website, they only seem to have the 512GB model, and it costs £1240 i.e. £59 less than Apple, but then the Higher Education discount is a good bit more AND HE sales include 3yrs of repair cover worth £199.

I ordered the standard 1.1GHz 256GB model in silver on the same day. It will be interesting to see if the BTO option takes any longer.

I am right in thinking yours was BTO? Is that why it is shipping/trackable from China? I thought I saw somewhere on here that regular UK MacBooks were now shipping/trackable from the UK?

My 256GB Silver rMB (ordered 13 May) is still:
Processing Items Dispatched: 3 - 5 weeks
Delivery: 10 Jun, 2015 - 23 Jun, 2015 by Standard Shipping

Today is the first day of the Dispatch window.

Correct mine is/was BTO however I believe everything is being shipped from China currently - after all it is where they are all being built. I may have suggested earlier in this thread or another that someone's replacement (for a faulty MB) might have been diverted from store stock in the UK because they received so quickly and around the time stock was starting to trickle into stores but it was only a mere suggestion and given how quick mine arrived from China after dispatch their replacement was prob just prioritised and expedited.

The main benefits with Costco are (1) available stock, and (2) 90 day no-questions-asked return. You can't beat that.

I'm only waiting until Apple start the 'Back to School' program. Usually starts mid-June or early July. £70 iTunes card last year which was well worth waiting for.

Will likely order the BTO 1.3 as a secondary portable machine to use exclusively on the go; not sure whether to go for the 256GB or 512GB SSD as there isn't much in it cost-wise (only £120 or so) once you are at the higher tier spec level.

I had 3 rMBP 15"s last year however all of them broke on me for no apparent reason with a blank screen. Apple had no clue about why it occurred (possibly a faulty batch) so Executive Support offered me a full refund.

The rMB will be a lot more portable anyway and I'll just leave it to my 27" iMac for the heavy lifting - performance isn't an issue really as I'll just use it for web browsing, some light PS and Office/iWork for 5 years or so and then see where the notebook market is.

John Lewis giving 3 year warranty which if they weren't out of stock currently might beat that. Costco will prob run out quick enough when people catch wind they have stock!

1.3/512/SG
UK
Ordered 6th May
Estimate window: 4th - 17th June

I woke up to see that it suddenly moved to shipped during the night. I didn't get a chance to see any 'preparing for dispatch'.

Looks like my choice of ordering the USB-C adapter is going to hold things up a bit as my rMB needs to meet up with it before they can be sent to me as one delivery.

Delivery estimate is now 11th June so a week from today. Anyone received their rMB + USB-C adapter any sooner than this??

May I suspect a lie ? :)

My delivery estimate dropped by 3 days after it was shipped. It shipped late last Friday (or very early Saturday morning) with a delivery estimate of Friday but within a day or so UPS changed it to yesterday.

Am afriad though I opted to have my cable in a separate delivery so was not quite in same boat as you.

They're 5 year warranty is for TV's and projectors only. It's 2 years for tablets and computers according to their UK website.

Yes - I stand corrected. Still, the 90-day return is a great incentive to "dive-in" and try this out.

Just thought I'd add my 2p:

I ordered on the 7th May (Silver, 1.3, 256gb) and received this morning. I got dispatch information showing China on Monday, so presumably it takes about 4 days from China to UK. Regarding my apple delivery window, when I purchased, it was only 2 days into this (which was better than I expected).

P.S Machine is great!

I'm now a bit cross. I ordered 2 days later than you, exactly the same spec, and my rMB is still processing :(

Ordered on May 20th, at the time the estimated delivery was June 23rd - July 6th. I actually cancelled the dongle last week from my order and gained like 5 days on delivery! Now it shows June 18th - July 1st. Still processing though :(

Same here - I got 2 days into my delivery window. Half of the 4 days seemed to be spent in Germany clearing customs!

So, status change! My MacBook moved to "Preparing for Shipment"!! Looking good

EDIT: As of early this morning the status changed to "Shipped". Things are going very fast suddenly.
