"Is that what I think it is?"

"Yes" (flip up wrist to show Mickey)

"OMG, that is so cool!"

Actual interaction at lunch today with a waitress.

Because all waitresses are clearly uninformed and have no idea what an Apple Watch is.

Did you have an experience with a cab driver?

I think Robert Downey junior and Scarlett johansen didn't know about it, but they weren't driving cabs.

You should have impressed her by showing her how it can make phone calls and then asking for her phone number so you could call her later.

Not sure which is worse. OP's "Even waitresses..." or all of the subsequent commenters that either stated or implied that the waitress exists to have sex with the OP.

While it's true that between shifts waitresses are typically locked up under the restaurant, there are some restaurants that have TVs. As a result (even if it is heavily frowned upon) some waitresses are able to get glimpses of the outside world by quickly glancing up at the screens while their managers aren't watching. This is heavily frowned upon and is probably how she found out about the Apple Watch.

I recommend reporting her to her manager. It was probably innocent, but we can't let these sorts of things slide.

As if the people who serve your food and put up with your nonsense with a smile and are happy if you leave them $4 do not partake in being productive, involved members of modern society. Nice.

Yesterday I was flying through Washington and went to the Smashburger at Dulles airport. I wasn't wearing my Apple Watch (I was on vacation when it arrived and finally picked it up last night).

I am still pretty sure the cashier knows what a real Apple Watch is anyway. Why? Because he was wearing one.

Never though of making a condescending post about it though.

Oh and the flight attendant on my flight down noticed my new MacBook and mentioned he was planning to buy one.

No one stated or implied that. Don't be so silly. There's nothing wrong with wanting to have sex (or implying others do as well). It's just as bad to state what you did as it was for the OP to say "even waitresses", it's a form of elitism.

Black belt reply to the thread, people have questions that need to be answered:D:D:D:D
