Why wouldn‘t we get a few summer bands? Previous three years we did.

The traditional spring collection through the pre-solo era was three sport band colors. Last year we got that plus pistachio and Tomales as silicone exclusives. No summer bands.

The series 7 launch saw the winter bands essentially released in the fall, going by pure numbers.

Spring 2022 we got seven gooey colors: White2, Mineral Green, Bright Green, Blue Fog, Eucalyptus, Nectarine, Lemon Zest.

I don’t know how you can look at the numbers and the absence of summer/winter collections in 2021 and expect more bands…

Maybe Flamingo, but Blue Jay/Oat Milk/Light Lilac don’t quite scream summer compared to Mineral Green and Nectarine and Lemon Zest.

I can tell you how: I was fooled by the colour picker in the App where three colours were labeled „Summer 2021“. Inspecting further now, those didn‘t (directly) relate to new bands, so I have to agree that we very probably won‘t be getting new bands until the fall. My bad 😔

Oh apple totally gaslit all of us with that picker. Good thing it’s totally amazing and perfect in every other way!

You did get me thinking about the Intl Colex as summer bands and one wonders if we would have gotten Vitamin C/Sea/Coastal if the Olympics had run in 2020. Somehow I can’t fathom a world without VC sport band.

And thank you for attending my TED talk though, lots of leftover agita from the fall when people were still expecting winter bands.

I always think the straps look too narrow for the watch 🙈 In my opinion, the proportions are just not right. If they were wider, they would be my absolute favorites right after the sports bands.

What about some Leather Links or Nike Sport Loops in summer? We didn’t get any this spring.

BTW: I noticed delivery dates of some sizes of the Bright Green and Flamingo BSL have been set end of May or early June (!) in my country.

Summer 20 happened as expected. Summer 21 did not happen simply because of the deluge of olympic loops. As for Spring 22 being heavy: Fall 22 was extremely heavy, and yet they still did Spring 22.

Summer 22 is happening 😘

Earthy / mulch brown tone would be sweet.

EDIT: Funny, I just noticed a glaring omission in that MR Fall 21 link. It doesn't showcase the full wealth of releases -- ie. 12 Hermès leather, 2 Hermès nylon.

Yeah I threw in the 18kt Edition Demo/Prototype because it felt wrong not to.

I think it depends on the angle - on some of the above photos it does look too narrow, while on the upper right one, it looks just about OK.

They’ve never done a non-Hermes above $49 in winter/spring. And only one set of sport loops. I’ll declare with a kobezzz level of certainty you will see a spring Nike sport loop. Pick any color and they will ship a band with that color ✨
