welp, I'm a lot poorer

do you have any other blues to do a comparison photo with?

I ordered this one and the grapefruit for the bands, I skipped the cactus for now.

I wonder how this surf will compare with my other blues....I was looking to get a second gen blue...but this may just fill that gap.

I have pine, khaki, and spearmint...I just don't know if I want cactus.

That's the Cactus. It's more bluish than I was expecting, but is still a nice colour.

first the midnight turquoise/aurora green nike is basically a dark teal band.

I also have it next to the hyper crimson/neptune green, the green on the loop is basically a dark teal

(the 3 green bands grouped together are spearmint, pine and khaki)

Sadly I get less keen on Midnight Turquoise the more I see it. Even worse I get more keen on Blue Orbit / Gamma Blue. Given it’s probably THE most popular band (maybe on par with Celestial Teal) I was happily not worried about finding it.

My jury is still out on Smurf Blue as I can’t help calling it, and my wife seemed a bit meh on Grapefruit when I showed her just now.

I’m prepared for this release to be a bunch of fizzers for me. Hopefully it’ll be better than that when they arrive and I see them IRL.

Many people on this forum drop tens of thousands a year on Apple products, I’ve gotten used to it.

As I’ve posted before (perhaps aside AAPL stock, though right now maybe even that not so much), watch bands are the cleverest spend of money on anything Apple. Everything Apple makes depreciates like a falling rock, except watch bands which commonly sell for over list on eBay after they have been out of production for a while.

so with the new bands, I few observations...

1. the loops seem to fit a little better over my hand, so maybe they lengthened them a bit again from a few years back when they got a little shorter.

2. the loops velcro seems to be back to before last season levels of sticky-ness....if that makes sense.

3. the bands that have surprised me the most are the Sunshine and the hyper crimson/neptune green loops. both of these loops look way better in person to me and I can see the hyper crimson/neptune becoming a go to/high rotation band.

4. band I'm not sure about yet... Grapefruit

5. band I didn't even get... Cactus

6. band I didn't get but have now ordered because of videos and photos.... Vitamin C! I can't wait to see what it looks like in person

how about the moon...? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down.

I'm kidding of course, some of those may be harder to find...like rose red and dragon fruit... I've been looking of ra walnut and lemonade myself. I'll let you know if I see some of the ones you're looking for

See, to me, the difference is relatively slight, but I like the Lime Blast a whole lot better, because it's decidedly green, rather than yellow. Happy to see real-life side-by-side pics, thanks.

I see the similarities. I do prefer the lime blast. I would purchase that over the volt

I told you in another thread where you can get Walnut. Same seller has Pollen and Rose Red listed right now also. Pollen and Walnut aren’t even listed at a premium over the original price, the seller is trusted after many people on here having used them and they ship for free - if you want them then why not buy them?

When I saw the first pic on my iPad the new band you are wearing was off the bottom of the screen. I initially thought "wow, Midnight Turquoise looks really like Celestial Teal", then I scrolled and... "duh".

My order is out for delivery now, so I don't have too long to wait (and at least with mandated working from home I'll be here for the courier), but I'm really unsure about the Midnight Turquoise. I think it's going to be like Royal Pulse for me - a band I really like but can't figure out what I can wear it with.

Hmm not sure what it'll go with either, I do like the contrast of dark/light color & I don't have Teal which it's close to (?).

Cargo Khaki, Olive Flak, Khaki, Pine Green, Cactus, Dark Teal, Midnight Turquoise. I think Pine looks more as it does to the eye in this photo than in others I have seen. Taken with 11 Pro Max in NZ daylight (bright overcast today).

My Delft Blue hasn't arrived - it's very possible that it's lost (in which case I'll look for another) - so I can't do the entire comparison @twanj and I wanted.

I'm not sure if I'll be buying Surf for myself or not. I guess it sits between Royal and Blue Gen 1 nicely, but they're already hard blues to wear as they are so bright.

It just goes to show you can't really tell from the photos - I was prepared to covet my wife's Surf Blue and be disappointed with my Midnight Turquoise / Aurora Green, but I'm meh on hers and I love the new Nike - it's my new favourite (at least until tomorrow).

So Surf Blue finally showed up and well it is kind of disappointing. It looks so much brighter in photos. In reality, it is as dull as one of the first generation Sport Bands. It fits somewhere between First Generation Blue and (So-Called) Royal Blue.

Blue 1G, Blue 2G, Surf Blue, (So-Called) Royal Blue. For the last few I added Blue Orbit/Blue Gamma, Dark Teal, Dark Turquoise/Aurora Green.

Finally, for that person, I forgot your name, that PM me for comparison with Dark Turquoise/Aurora Green and Blue Gamma/Blue Orbit. I even added Teal Tint/Tropical Twist AND my actual Royal Blue key fob cover for comparison. I am still waiting for a blue Sport Band that is that color.

I think I might return Surf Blue for Catus when the stores reopen. Since it might look the way Pine Green looked in the store display and on the box.

I am still waiting for that perfect bright shade of blue and a Cyan Sport Band, what Apple called Scuba Blue on the Nylon Bands. Apple actually did a decent Violet color a few years ago. It is called Ultra Violet. It is a perfect shade of Violet in my opinion.
