A few of us have commented/thought about this from time to time....
So for any of the peeps that are really into collecting - what do you feel will happen to the current band market if they do change the design? Prices will plummet? Stay the same? Skyrocket?
Being a newb to this group, I really do not know enough to speculate.
I think prices will plummet. Plus, then people won't be as willing to collect multiple bands like we are now. Knowing that they only have a few year life span before they become obsolete.
During the keynote in September Apple not only introduced the Apple Watch Series 2, but launched a few new bands (and/or new colors) as well—for the fourth time since Apple Watch goes on sale in April 2015. Unfortunately Apple discontinued some of the bands again, so I decided to do some research about every Apple Watch OEM band ever released. This is the result, and where the story of this thread begins.
I highly appreciate your support and all the feedback so far, it helps me a lot within the process and
the finalization. It also helps to be as accurate as possible. Thanks!
Because this thread is a sticky thread now, and watchaware.com posted a lovely post about this few days ago, I decided to clean up everything and deleted all the previous versions to minimize confusion.

Since I haven’t seen a good on watch money shot for the linen band yet although I’m curious.. it got me thinking. If you may have noticed I’m not a blue collector, I’ve sold off all the blues I’ve bought except for turquoise (and cactus) thus far, but I’m drawn to the idea of Linen and Alaskan blue for the slight purple tones they might have/have. But I’m thinking Linen doesn’t have enough purple and Alaskan looks like it’s too dull for my tastes. So what I’m ACTUALLY looking for doesn’t exist yet - but is the cactus of the blue/purple tones. Is it blue, is it purple? No it’s (insert name here)!
Lavender gray is great! But I want a blue to purple morph 🤔

Hopefully someone posts a linen on the watch shot as I think it might be what you’re looking for. I’ve seen Alaskan blue in real life and it’s definitely not as dull as the Apple website makes it seem but it might not be quite as purple as you’re looking for. I’ve heard many people describe ultraviolet as blurple but it’s much deeper colour than linen and Alaskan. I personally find it purple enough.

Me too! My ultraviolet attempts keep falling through. I still have a box for one, just not the band! Third time will be the charm, I hope.

My dumb ass threw away the S/M size band along with the box away when I got ultraviolet for Christmas in 2017.
Don't worry, you are not alone in this situation. I surf the Internet every day hoping to find 42mm UV.
I hadn’t even been looking for bands recently, so chances are if one is listed for cheap I’ll miss it anyways. I’m not looking to complete the sport band series (yet) so unless UV comes to me, I’m not holding out hope.
Sooner or later we will find it. Maybe...
I’m not sure if this band gets a lot of attention, but it’s really a classic. Beautiful mix of blue with hints of green that shines in both sun and shade. Definitely deserves a place in everyone’s collection.

Closest thing I have in my collection similar to this is the peacock leather loop and the celestial teal sport loop. Teal just a fantastic color for blue/green fans.

It really is an awesome band! Definitely doesn’t get enough love and no one ever talks about it. Great summer color. Also a great fall color. Good for spring. Winter too? Closest thing to eagles colors for my eagles family.

Folks, I have a difficult request: does anyone have both the Hermes Lime and the Classic Buckle Spring Yellow straps? A comparison picture would be most appreciated as I think I need the Lime but it never ever shows on ebay (in Europe, at least) and maybe Spring Yellow is close enough?
