And on your comment about the S/M, I think my choice mostly comes down to the overlap. I can comfortably wear both, and actually used to wear the M/L back when I only had the one band, but eventually switched to the S/M piece as I found it wears on my wrist with less overlapping. This increases breath-ability for me, which is always a plus. Now my OCD won't let me buy a band unless it's S/M, so Hermes doesn't seem to be happening any time soon. Chargerstore has it in S/M, and even sells the S/M separately
That is why I bought a S/M part for my Hermes band from the Chargerstore. I have worn it 3 or 4 times since November 2019 because I am uncomfortable with a part of M/L. It remains only to wait for it to be delivered.

I did the same thing for the same reason - arrived a few days ago. To be fair, it also annoyed me that with the M/L band, it didn't match all the other bands in my storage folder/wallet thingy.

I'd be interested to know from any Hermes experts which combination of watches came with which size of band - For all the ones I've seen 44mm comes with M/L and 40mm comes with S/M, which begs the question why 44mm S/Ms even exist at Chargerstore!

That’s what I meant by my OCD not letting me buy it. If I know it doesn’t match the rest, it would annoy me!

As for why S/M halves exist, I believe there was a very, VERY brief window in the S3 era where Apple shipped all 3 pieces. That, or it’s reserved as a replacement. Real quick, can someone with an Hermes model try contacting Apple about ordering a replacement Hermès sport band? I’d be curious to know how much that costs, and if it includes the S/M. More specifically, I wonder if they can offer you just the S/M half.

(And if you can order a replacement for $50 like @Pitch’s ceramic pin, I’ll be interested in buying it!)

I know  Need to decide!
Pink Blast has been discontinued since I believe Spring, but Apple has been finding stock here and there. Last I checked it was out of stock at Nike.com as well. I bought mine on eBay for $25 back in March, so I wouldn’t imagine you would have too hard of a time finding one for resell down the road. Fall releases almost always amaze me, with some of my favorites coming out in Fall/Winter (Celestial Teal, Olive Flak, Smokey Mauve, Royal Pulse, & Desert Sand) so I say wait and see what comes out. @athousandbands has been teasing us with possible concepts over in the Concept Art for future Watch Bands thread, and so far I’m in love with all possibilities. I think we’ll likely see some darker colors rather than light ones, but his concepts come from colorways trending at Nike right now, so who knows. Maybe they’ll surprise us this year with some real bright Blue Orbit vibes. I think I also remember @athousandbands saying based on past trends it’s likely we’ll see one “Black/X” color and one “X/Black” color this fall. My own predictions are that we’ll see 4 new Nike colors... two to replace the old standards of Anthracite & Pure Platinum for newer colorways in neutral tones as well, and two for temporary seasonal releases that’ll be discontinued later. We have information proving that Apple has shown interest in replacing the standard bands before, and with Anthracite being I believe 4 years old this fall, I think it’s about time.

It should also be mentioned that the next release is about 7 weeks away, so any new designs or colorways are likely being finalized and given the green light by all teams involved. IIRC once Marketing says they’re good, production starts, if it hasn’t already.

Great info....thx!

I’m definitely excited to see what comes. For now it would be ideal to find the black/pink blast at a deal but who knows. I’ll keep looking! Thx!

Lol damn you for propagating this pink blast discontinuation lie and then dropping off all my speculation! Must. Resist. Like. Button.

But yes I agree I have a feeling we have to see the evergreen/default nikes replaced. Which means we could see three new “fall” bands plus two that stick around for years. Perhaps they only do two fall bands or maybe none and push off to winter like in 2018. But for the one-season pieces science/history does point to:

1. Black/[hyper (color) OR (color) Blast] OR similar laserORflash appellation

2. Muted color/black

3. Color on color

come over to the concepts thread...I will be trying to set up a predictions contest of sorts, it’s safe for bullcrappin’ over there, @mikedop has paid the protection racket

Really want this one! It’s like my celestial teal in mike’s world. Let’s not even talk about barely rose/pink.

Sorry, I had to!

Also while reading your reply I was thinking it’s been a while since we’ve had a color/color band I've been really excited about. Midnight Turquoise was cool, but I want more Blue Orbit vibes, something that really pops. Something orange coming this fall would be an instant buy, and I just have a feeling Apple will deliver.

Which hyper/blast colors have been making rounds in the new releases lately?

At the start of the year, I decided that in 2020, I would buy no more than four watch bands and absolutely no blues. My decision was based on very sound rationale:

1. Apple no longer needed my help to sustain its share price growth
2. I had 10/11 blue bands already depending on where you place Turquoise

Then something unintentional happened: I stumbled upon this forum!

In a very short space of time, I found myself purchasing Seafoam, Cactus (encouraged by @oarx ’s photo comparing greens) and Vitamin C. And then I saw @toxtrepla ’s blue line up... that resulted in the acquisition of Cornflower, Surf Blue, Alaskan Blue and Linen Blue 😳...

Only saving grace: I am totally colour blind when it comes to orange, so I won’t be chasing Grapefruit, Papaya or Clementine.

For $100? Doesn’t count. I see Teal a lot more in the used market, they get snatched pretty quickly though. Not as quick as the pink/purple nikes though. I missed quite a few cheap violets and pinks to other sharks 😔
Today’s combo: Barely Rose/Violet Dust.
