Jon Prosser claims that the Series 6 (and presumably the watch bands) will come out via press release in the 37th week of 2020. This puts a (press release) announcement date of September 7-13.

I doubt that they'll release the Series 6 and new bands the week of September 7. September 7 is Labor Day and I don't think Apple has released a new product the same week as a federal holiday (I might be wrong). Also, the watchOS 7 beta cycle just switched to weekly updates (refinements) starting this week, so I don't think the new watches will be launching anytime soon assuming they launch alongside watchOS 7.

I thought Sep 7th was just the announcement, not release?

Current state of things. I promise I had 2 sport bands before entering this thread.

Oh, sorry I'm using press announcement/release interchangeably here. Personally I can't recall Apple doing a press release for a new product the same week as a federal holiday. Usually they like to do it on a non-holiday week so they can dominate the press for the whole the week.

It’ll be either September 8th or 15th (due to Labor Day being on the 7th) Apple always does the iPhone/Apple Watch announcement on a Tuesday and usually the second Tuesday of September but due to this labor being later in the month this year it could just be September 15th.

Just my OCD but do all colored Leather Loops look like they put a thin leather layer coat on top of hard rubber? You can see the leather topping being cut in the edges and you can see the dark rubber bottom. It’s like they couldn’t put the leather all the way to the edges? I just bought a saddle brown and it does the same thing. My Gen 1 Black looks like leather all the way to the edges. Is it the color ones only or does Gen 2 black do that also?

Only my Meyer Lemon Loop looks like this (the dye is only on the top and bottom surfaces).

All my other loops (first generation Black, White, Forest Green) have the dye on the sides, as well.

I admit I don't like the look, which is a shame, as ML looks great with my Space Black Series 4 Stainless.

I just got a Saddle Brown and I’ve only had Gen 1 black and that wasn’t a thing then and got this one and I agree I’m not a fan of the unfinished look either.

Now I really want all those! Already have Pride. I love how the sides of the buckles come straight from the watch, unlike the tapered edges of the fluroelastomer bands which get wider. So clean!
Happy hunting! I’m not sure on 38mm sizes, but 42mm Gray Pinstripe was very hard to find.
