Hey guys I just wanted some advice please, was at the Apple Store trying on the Leather Loops (on a 44mm Demo Titantium Watch), and wow I absolutely love it, the Leather Loop is awesome. Looks classy and elegant.

i currently have a 40mm S4 watch and am actually considering upgrading to a 44mm watch for whenever I buy my next one, among other reasons, to be able to use the leather loop. Yes I know this would make all my existing bands redundant but hey that’s what eBay is for I guess,

do you think it looks alright on my wrist / too big?

do YOU think it looks too big on your wrist? I see this question asked a lot, and I fail to see why others’ opinions should really count here. Wear whichever watch you like more and think will work best for you.

@Arcontia I think the 44mm looks perfectly fine on your wrist. Not too big at all to my eye. Go for it! (I'll go with the 44mm when I upgrade to the S5 or S6 this year.)

Thank you! I'll spend the next week thinking about it, wait and see whats announced at next weeks event, but for sure if I do decide to make the plunge to 44mm, I do wanna grab a Meyer Lemon Leather Loop, which surprisingly is still in stock at my Apple Store 1 year later, but I'm more or less certain will be discontinued when new bands are released alongside the S6

@Arcontia looks good to me!

how many 40mm bands do you have?

maybe you can find someone here switching down to 40mm that would trade some?

Thank you! How many 40mm bands do I have, oh man, about 10 in total, 4 sport bands, 3 sport loops and 3 classic buckles..

I do see your point but also of course wanted to hear some other opinions from the community too, can't hurt! I think it looks fine tbh, just also wanted to maybe hear if people had any pet peeves about 44mm, or someones that had both, some insight into pros/cons of each

Meyer Lemon is really nice, def pick that up.

Larger screen is prolly always nicer unless it's huge and unwieldy on your wrist.

There's a 30(?) day return period so you can try it out & if you hate it switch it up.

@Arcontia Go for it! I always had the smaller size, one day on a whim I thought I’m selling mine and going for the larger size. That, and the small size although a good size for my small wrist, always sat weird because of my wrist bone, I thought the larger surface area of the 44mm would force it to lay flatter, and it did. I too loved the Meyer lemon Loop! I took a big jump to series 5 stainless steel 44 from the series 4 aluminum 40 so I didn’t immediately grab a $100 band too. (Wasn’t an option when I bought because I sold and bought from private market not Apple store) Now it’s hard to find! I too wrestled back and forth about maybe the smaller size is better looking, maybe not, but I personally love the bigger screen so 44 for me it is now.

LOL. The struggle is real. I went through this exact thing myself about a year ago. I have skinny wrists and was wearing the 40mm since S0. Over the years, I amassed a very large collection of 40mm bands, which made it even harder to switch to a larger size. I eventually switched and am very glad I did. The watch is much more useful now with the larger screen and I think it looks great. Looking at your photos, the watch looks great on you too. I would go with the 44mm now--before you invest in even MORE smaller bands.

thank you for your thoughts it’s nice to hear someone who was in the same position :) yeah I’ve also been with the 40(38)mm since the beginning of my time with Apple Watch, and I feel ready for change. Even my uncle with the 44mm told me about half a year ago, you should’ve gotten the 44mm!

I also want to reference this video review, which features the Leather Loop on the Black Titanium Watch, and for me it just really looks so sleek, professional and elegant. I’m very keen

Question, has anybody ever used a stain remover powder when cleaning the Nike Sport loops? Ive just received a Nike Pink Pearl Sport Loop I bid for on ebay and its more like grey Pearl, this person obviously never washed it and it really is quite gross, honestly its making me gag just looking at it 🤮. Ive had no problems hand washing these before but I think its gonna need more than just a bit of detergent.

I’ve used Vanish Gold on Woven Nylon Bands - caused no issues and really lifted the white bits. I have found that stains come out of the Sport Loops much more easily though, even just with detergent. The colour of the water can be a bit scary! 🤢

Thanks, I’ve got Vanish Gold at the ready, normally I would use just a bit of Bold but seriously this loop needs a lot of help 🤢

Lol I’ve seen some sellers advertising their bands like “Like new” or “Open Box” but they post pictures like this 😂:
