And you for some reason continue shaming publicly and privately everyone, who DARES to pay full price for their bands. Not nice, absolutely not nice, mr. "yoink master".

This is not about mikedop specifically, but I for one am really tired of the many, many posts in this thread bragging about getting [Apple Watch Band] for only [USD amount]. Good for you, I guess, but who cares? If there is a sale somewhere or a new ebay seller with good prices for many bands, that can be considered a PSA. But bragging about individual deals/steals is quite boring, to be honest.

If only there was an easy culture pun here...loopy group? Yarn gang?
Braided buddies?

haters gonna hate...
I mean, at the end of the day I don’t care what you spend your money on. I hate them, and I wouldn’t pay full price or anywhere close to it for one of these bands. I think they’re poorly designed and shouldn’t have been made, but as I said before, if you like them, then go ahead and pay whatever you’re willing to pay for them. Nobody else’s opinion should count towards your decision but your own.

It’s good fun to brag every once in a while. Sure, nobody really cares, but I feel like we’re all only here for validation anyways.

That sure sounds like projecting. Personally, I'm here for the real-world photos of new bands over time, particularly the comparison shots. Speculation discussion and shots of people's various storage solutions are definitely cool bonuses, as well.

I didn't swap anything - that is a "copycat" band from local german factory... but looks legit. It is my only non-original band, however 😅

Ha! Well, it looks awesome! Any link you could share? Or that's a secret for you and only you? 🤣
EDIT: to at least fill the void until @athousandbands wakes up and starts working on the real deal for me

On a lighter note, for everyone: are we assuming the red braid will be made available after the coming "event"? Who's with me for the day 1 order?

Anyone have a comparison shot of Papaya Sport Loop and Kumquat Sport Loop?

If not, I am wondering how similar you guys think they might be.

Sorry if you took any offense, I meant for that so come off somewhat sarcastic. Of course there’s all the pics of bands and deal threads and about a hundred other reasons to stick around here, but to say it’s boring and nobody cares when someone says “I got [band] for [price]” seems redundant. I personally love to see people post their deals, and I for sure love to post my own. If you don’t care you can just ignore it. I don’t know where the idea came from that I shoot down anyone for spending $100+ on a band, but I don’t... or at least, I don’t mean to. I stand by what I said. The braids are nowhere near worth $99. Hell, I wouldn’t even buy one over $35. Hermès is a waste of money at retail. The International Collection isn’t worth more than $500 for a full set. And @rambo47 most definitely overpaid for CYR. But that’s my opinion... if you have the money, want the bands, and are fine paying those prices, I’m all for it. I think rambo overpaid, sure, but he wanted that band and was willing to pay that price, so while I surely wouldn’t do the same, I’m glad he found what he wanted. @iChernov definitely overpaid for his full international collection, but that’s by my standards. He’s happy to have those bands and was willing to pay the price they cost him, and I’ve got nothing but respect for that.

It’s part of the reason I love to see when other people get good deals in this thread and others on the forum. I love to see other people happy about their bands, and when it’s a good deal I can personally relate to it, because I hunt for good deals no less than anyone else does.if someone has a problem with it, they can ignore those posts and just scroll past them. There’s no harm done in sharing your deals.

Why would anybody care how much you or someone else paid for a strap (other than being able to get the sane deal if it‘s some kind of sale)? I don‘t get it.

I personally love to see people post their deals, and I for sure love to post my own. If you don’t care you can just ignore it.

If like half the posts in this thread are of this kind, they get kinda hard to “just ignore“. Why don‘t you just open a seperate thread for bragging? „Best Prices Scored For Apple Watch Bands. Ever.“? I just don‘t feel they belong here.

I stand by what I said. The braids are nowhere near worth $99. Hell, I wouldn’t even buy one over $35. Hermès is a waste of money at retail. The International Collection isn’t worth more than $500 for a full set.

You have an opinion and it‘s just as valid as anyone else‘s, of course. But most folks here don‘t feel the need to repeat their (negative) opinion time and time again. I, for example, could shout from the rooftop of this thread that I think the Sport Loops look cheap and ugly and aren‘t worth 5 bucks to me, let alone 50 (yes, all of them), but why would I? I just accept that others love them, keep my nasty (from their perspective) opinion to myself and carry on.

I love to see other people happy about their bands.

Then don‘t tell them those bands are ugly, not worth the price etc.

There’s no harm done in sharing your deals.

Again, it‘s a signal/noise sorta thing. If the bragging is half the thread, others lose interest. I certainly do.

I've had more fun and games with CeX - but emerged victorious this time...

They had suspicious-looking listings for 'A' grade 2015 Blue and 2016 Yellow. Grade A usually means boxed and unused (usually with the plastic on the pin piece), which would have been odd for such old bands.

I took a punt. Low and behold, Deep Navy and Ginger turn up for £20 each... It would be churlish not to say 'Yoink' at this juncture.
