Yeah I wish our 40mm Leather Link came in Diver Blue.

The Baltic Blue thats instead available looks more like a darker Peacock in other pics I’ve seen, but then again, if its named after the Baltic Sea, that sea does have a green-ish tint to it

Yeah, wow. That’s interesting to see. Baltic is definitely significantly more green-tinged than it looks in the Apple stock photos.

Looking forward to my Links showing up so I can see the colours for myself, and try them out for comfort and fit, etc.

And don’t worry... I’m sure if they’re anything resembling successful at retail, there will be new Leather Links in just about every imaginable shade of blue over time.

I regretted many times already, that I answered your questions in PM. Now you're discussing my private deals in public and assess - what I overpaid and what not. That is unacceptable.
I’m not mentioning anything you told me in our private conversations. It’s a generalization. You live over in Europe, so I’m assuming getting several full sets shipped from a single store in Brazil to you would not have been cheap. On top of the cost of the bands, I am again assuming you spent way over my personal limit. I cannot see any situation in which you did not overpay for those bands, but again, if you’re fine with paying those prices, I really don’t care.

I purchased a Spruce Fog/Vintage Lichen loose band (S/M and Pin strap only) from Chargerstore last month: https://www.ebay.com/itm/402274362378

It looks authentic with the laser engravings, and everything else. However, I just came across a boxed, retail band and it looks a little bit different. As you can see in the attached photos, the lug pins on each strap from the Chargerstore order are the same color as the band (gray/green). On the retail band, they are black. I also noticed that the shading is slightly different on each one (the retail unit is a bit more green). Did these come in two different variations?

You'll notice that Chargerstore is using a photo with the black lug pins on the ad, but that's not what I got from him. I just sent him a message to see what he says, but I wanted to check in with the experts here as well.
The discoloration is probably from wear, if the retail set is even slightly used. It’s one of those bands that discolors easily but isn’t as noticeable. The lugs, as thousandbands said, are probably factory rejects for being off-color. I think it’s cool to have a reject with different lugs... that’s gotta be rare.

Sorry if you took any offense, I meant for that so come off somewhat sarcastic. Of course there’s all the pics of bands and deal threads and about a hundred other reasons to stick around here, but to say it’s boring and nobody cares when someone says “I got [band] for [price]” seems redundant. I personally love to see people post their deals, and I for sure love to post my own. If you don’t care you can just ignore it. I don’t know where the idea came from that I shoot down anyone for spending $100+ on a band, but I don’t... or at least, I don’t mean to. I stand by what I said. The braids are nowhere near worth $99. Hell, I wouldn’t even buy one over $35. Hermès is a waste of money at retail. The International Collection isn’t worth more than $500 for a full set. And @rambo47 most definitely overpaid for CYR. But that’s my opinion... if you have the money, want the bands, and are fine paying those prices, I’m all for it. I think rambo overpaid, sure, but he wanted that band and was willing to pay that price, so while I surely wouldn’t do the same, I’m glad he found what he wanted. @iChernov definitely overpaid for his full international collection, but that’s by my standards. He’s happy to have those bands and was willing to pay the price they cost him, and I’ve got nothing but respect for that.

It’s part of the reason I love to see when other people get good deals in this thread and others on the forum. I love to see other people happy about their bands, and when it’s a good deal I can personally relate to it, because I hunt for good deals no less than anyone else does.if someone has a problem with it, they can ignore those posts and just scroll past them. There’s no harm done in sharing your deals.

I most definitely overpaid. With shipping my CYR came in at $220, about double what most folks will pay. But I was willing to spend an extra ~$120 to nail this down and get it on my wrist. If you "want it now" then you agree to pay a premium. As long as you do it with the knowledge of what you're doing, it's a choice and not a ripoff or a mistake. At least that's what I keep telling myself. :)

Exactly my point. You’re happy with your purchase, and that’s what matters!

Yeah I've got a Baltic Blue on order, scheduled to arrive from at least the 14th of October, but then again, it hasn't yet moved past "Processing" so I'm not too hopeful 😅 I just find it interesting that the stores are also having so much trouble getting them almost a month after launch, its like they only went into production in the week of the event.

I look forward to seeing how it pairs up with the SBTi. They're definitely different shades of blue, and while Diver would be my personal preference (longstanding love of the almost identical Midnight Blue), Baltic Still looks pretty good on it's own :)

yeah, wanted mine too. Got into a bidding war with someone, I know we got to over $230 outbidding each other, and then I saw another one with a buy it now for about $20 cheaper than where I was at in the bidding war, so jumped on that one. Very happy with the one I got, card was just about perfect. Glad you got one!

I'll probably need to buy a Diver Blue leather loop as I expect the iPhone 12 Pro case will be Diver Blue as well (they will probably call the phone color Midnight Blue).

I bought a Midnight Green iPhone 11 Pro Max and added the Forest Green leather case and Leather Loop for my watch so they all color-coordinated.

my collection is tiny compared to you guys, I have around 100 bands. Just changed from having SBSS since Series 0, to Graphite. It is different, but I like it better than I thought I would.
I would be pretty interested to see what the true average collection size is here. 100+ is definitely more than quite a few people here from what I’ve heard... I think the average might be around 80-90 but I have no way of knowing for sure. The poll results are skewed since the larger options were only recently added.

I've got... 9 bands 😂

I had 50 bands but gave them all to my daughter with my 40 ssrosegold! I told precious not to buy every band I see again but here I am buying walnut from chargestore after francoc02o posted that beauty so now I’m at 11 for my new 44 ...

Which yellow and dark blue are those?

No, I don't think there is any fading/discoloring as everything looks uniform. The tint of the entire band is just a little bit different--and course the lugs are not black.

Hey does anyone have the chance to take a picture of the Graphite SS on a Hermes noir swift leather single tour with black lugs?

I’m curious to see how the black lugs match the graphite.

Thanks!

Today’s band from the new stuff — the diver blue leather loop.

View attachment 964873

This is my second-biggest surprise of the new collection, after the existence of the solo loops, of course. When they showed off the leather link on the webcast, I figured, ”Well, rest in peace, Leather Loop.” And then the Diver Blue showed up. Go figure.

In case anyone’s curious, here’s the “dark blue”-leaning leather loops for comparison:

Left to right: Bright Blue, Midnight Blue, Cosmos Blue, Peacock, Diver Blue

View attachment 964872

And yes, I know Peacock is more green than blue. But I figured it fit in here with the Cosmos.

Diver is right in the middle between Cosmos and Midnight. Not that there’s much space there. But that’s pretty much right where it is.

You need to get cape cod to round out the mix!
