Oooh I was wearing the same band yesterday. I love this blue! Is the SB the same color? if yes, I guess I'll have no choice than to get one. And indeed, quite different from midnight blue.
Thank you for the picture! SB looks even a tad lighter than the "darker blue" part of the SL. I love my SL, it has become my "to go" band when I can't figure out which one to wear. Midnight Blue was for a long time my favorite band, it was one of the first I bought, together with Walnut. But I always found it a bit too dark.
Maybe I shouldn't have been so hard on the marketplace yesterday. Or maybe this shows how ineffective it is. Either way thanks for the tip-off

I have not, but the only one of mine getting a lot of wear and on/off reps is white. I suspect it’ll be like sport bands, where certain darker loops are more prone to shining on than lighter.
I’ve bought two cheap well-used solo Navys and they each have the same shiny outer rail, to different degrees. I thought it was just because these were worn nonstop with Blue Alum watches or whatever but I think it might be endemic to the Deep Navy color. I feel like my black one is way more resilient. Not great. Is yours picking up more lint too? Maybe the thing that makes the Deep Navy so pretty also makes the UV coating less sticky?
Hopefully it’s not the same situation as the third party bands where they look shiny and greasy once the matte outer coating wears off.
I don’t notice lint. It is just shinier/different color on the edges. For the first three weeks or so, it would have a sort of powder looking substance if I accidentally twisted it or something. It doesn’t really do that anymore, which makes me wonder if that was the coating.
This, but just a fresh white sport band every day, only interrupted by a color his assistant hands him to pander for a college commencement speech. Or I guess he wears black now, per the three fall events.
I would guess he’s got like 20 in his drawer but he just never changes them out. Like you said, his wardrobe guy probably gives him whatever they grab from the demo returns.
