The 11 likes on his dragon fruit post suggest that it is in fact accurate, and appreciated.

To be fair, though.. let's keep in mind: the perception of AW bands (in any captured form) is affected by many factors. Case in point, @athousandbands shares photographs that are taken with a very rigorous and consistent process, always involving Cali sunlight. This way, we get to see what things look like in that intense sort of direct sunlight. Indoor lighting / shade / etc.. these are all equally valid settings to take photos. In my opinion, no one setting is objectively "better" or "more accurate" than the other, so long as calibration is kept in-check. I think this gets at what is easily one of the best part of this particular thread -- the way it (ie. everyone who contributes!) offers the chance to see all these bands from so many different perspectives / settings / etc.
*shrug* the likes suggest nothing to me other than people like the picture. The color looks nice in the lighting but let’s face it, most people aren’t looking at it in blazing sunlight all day long day in and day out. The boxed pic is what people will see way more often. Likes have nothing to do with the photo’s accuracy.

Not going to get into a back and forth here. Suffice to say, you've identified my point -- multiple perspectives and settings (obviously) exist and they can heavily impact how the bands are perceived. Have a good one!

Pride Braided Loop and my brief review is in.

Overall, I have to say, exceeded my expectations. I need to say off the bat, it looks a lot more appealing in person, it just has this glow to it. I maintain what I previously said about 2020 Pride Sport Band giving more Pride Vibes, but, the Pride Braided Loop gives me PARTY vibes which I really love, it looks like something good to wear for a birthday or something and thats great :) :)

I would also add I think it matches the Titanium model much nicer than last years Pride Edition Sport Band, that I definitely saw quickly. The two new watch faces they released to go with the Pride Braided Loop I think are superb.

I know its in a higher price bracket than previous Pride Bands of which we haven’t had before, but, overall, I’m pretty happy with it

And a pic in daylight of course:

I couldn‘t quite put my finger on it, but that‘s exactly it! If I get this (still undecided), I shall call it the Confetti strap!
Yes!! Confetti! Exactly that!

A little stumped on this newly received band. It was listed as "brown" and I thought it would be cocoa, however, it looks more like a dark gray to me. It has a dark metal (as far as I can tell, not ceramic) pin - space black or space gray. It is stamped with 38mm. I'm thinking it is "Gray" from Fall 2017 based on the Bandbreite app, but not completely sure. What do you think?

Yes, I believe that is the Gray, which has warm tones. I have this in 42mm.

I don’t see them not doing a yellow. That would be unprecedented.
Actually wait they didn’t do a yellow for the second half of series 5 BUT sunflower/olive/cloud blue are currently positioned like kumquat/northern/plum were in the fall, especially given those phone case leaks.

I just don’t see a sea salt band coming. And maybe with the split between solo loops and sport bands, we see four total colors, and electric orange gets in on the fun?

do you see an amethyst coming?
No way. It’s not in the new sport loops and cloud blue is as well as being in the OS.

And now I wonder if fashion trends will finally turn us back to a more saturated purple rather than a sport band/solo loop that looks like the lilac modern buckle color, like pistachio and cantaloupe and every other divisive faded band.

The good news on the pantone front is that “leprechaun” is a fashion week color for fall/winter so maybe good green is coming.

And whatever pantone/fashion houses
declare is in for spring 2022, apple could bring it out as a color in fall 2021 because they did that with a lot of the series 6 launch colors.

Also consider watch cases…a green watch will bring the deep navy/atlantic blue versions of green, but maybe there’s also room for a purple watch with purple accessories?

Does the s3 EOL leave room for a third/fourth color or do both blue and red have to go? Red feels like one that stays for years and years because the bands aren’t going anywhere.

It is so funny - I don't know how representative MR forum people are of the Apple buying public at large, but it seems like the color advisors could visit this site to see what colors people are most excited about even possibly getting. Some shade of purple, and a good honest green are up on the "most mentioned" list all the time. You never hear anyone say "gee, I wish they'd come out with another shade of blue." It almost seems like they could save the blue R&D costs, keep whatever the current blue is for a year and invest in purple or green (or both) and watch the world catch on fire.

I noticed that Chalk Leather Link missing on the bands page.

However if you drill down to a different color you can still get it. Perhaps they are discontinuing this color early? Glad I got mine. Hopefully it is just a website update they missed and it isn't a limited color. The same is true on the Canadian site as well....

Missing chalk?
