I have an Ogio bag and love it. I know what you're saying about wanting a backpack that isn't huge. That's why I like the Ogio. It has room for everything, but when it's not fully loaded, it kind of just collapses. It doesn't poke off of your back, like other brands, when not fully loaded. I also have a Swiss Gear bag, which I really like, but it's too big for everyday stuff. Check out Ogio. They're great bags that don't act like balloons or something. Plus, there is a huge selection.

I use one like this in brown, from Kenneth Cole, it fits my 15" MBP, very useful and stylish...

I use an STM Small messenger.

I can't find the style/[pictures as it is since discontinued, but it is a perfect fit for my 13" and is light.

It also looks really nice with dark brown with an orangey browny tinge on the trim.

Thanks, which Ogio model do you have?

I always recommend Timbuk2 bags.

I use mine everyday. I keep my computer, a book or 2, a notepad, some pens/pencils and some other smaller stuff. I have the medium messenger bag, but there are other styles and sizes. It is one of the best purchases I have ever made. Completely worth the money and will last forever.

Wow you can build your own bag on that page. Awesome.

I use the insert that comes with ThinkTank's Airport Antidote v2 photo backpack. The backpack fits all my photo gear when I travel and the insert fits my uMBP 15" with a bunch of other stuff.

I'm pretty sure it's the Ogio Street. I don't see it on their site so it may be discontinued. I know it's an older model. The Metro looks very similar though.

DEFINITELY "a casual guy who just throw your **** in the bag and go?"

I'm low profile, carrying a black nylon backpack now but it's just too large, I end up carrying too much as a result.

I hate to say purse but I need something to empty my heavy pockets into along with room for a laptops, paper notebook etc.

It's hard to find that 'manly/cool' everyday bag...

Personally I'm not much of a bag guy. Sure as hell not the "man purse" type either. Upon getting my new MBP I looked around for a functional yet stylish alternative to the normal "business-like" briefcase. If you want something that'll get noticed and is very functional, get what I got;

It's got tons of pockets for pretty much anything you can bring along. It's very slim (not bulky like the Kitchen Sink) and is pretty light. Only drawback for this pack is that it has a drawstring closure. Does get kind of annoying after awhile but I got used to it eventually. Really like the pack since it looks cool and works great for either work, travel or whatever.

Hi there!
Just wanted to throw another hat in the ring for Waterfield bags (http://www.sfbags.com/index.htm). Top quality bags and outstanding customer service. I have the SleeveCase with the Cozmo. The SleeveCase offers excellent protection without even needing a bag, but I use it with the Cozmo as a briefcase and even a carry-on when I travel. I had the velcro wear out on my SleeveCase and I sent it back to them and they fixed it at no charge. Everything is made right in San Fran, too.
I looked at the Vaja cases just for fun. Maybe if I win the lottery, hahaha. But MAN they look nice!

Happy Shopping!

3 Way Carry bag is a cool idea

That leather Knomo is nice, congrat's.

Here's a bag I might be interesting in trying, it's by Eagle Creek > http://www.eaglecreek.com/bags_luggage/everyday_backpacks/Global-Commuter-20246/

You can carry it as a backpack, a messenger bag or briefcase.

Good idea maybe. The main benefit being you can organize it as you would a messenger bag, which is better than trying to organize a backpack, yet you can carry it on your back too.

Good be a good all purpose bag / everyday bag?
