Losing FaceID is not good but if the TouchID button is in a natural place where the phone is held, then it won't be too much of an issue for me......I hope.

I’m still hoping the iPad mini will become the non foldable iPhone Ultra with more features!
The rumors about the next iPad mini being more water resistant have made me hopeful that the folding iPhone’s multitasking system will make its way over, as iPadOS’ strangely hapless window management makes even less sense on the mini. And then one could get analogous screen sizes by buying both a waterproof, dustproof slab iPhone and a waterproof, dustproof iPad mini, for about the same price of the significantly more fragile (albeit much more pocketable) folding iPhone.

Would be reasonable for the name to hint at device's main feature and allow lineup expansion although they could still disregard this logic.

You just wrote a negative review for a phone that hasn’t been announced, using specs that haven’t been confirmed, based on comparisons nobody has tested. Great take my guy.
You know what i find truly amazing....is that people like this are also the same people who whine and moan about how apple no longer innovates and puts out the same phone every year. Now after 6 long years since Samsung put out the first foldable phone, apple is finally doing their own version, which we dont know the full specs of it yet, and they allready hate it or come into threads like this just to brag how they arent going to buy it. Like, ok good for you.

Im going into this with an open mind. Yes, i have issues with the rumors so far, i dont know how much its going to cost, i dont know if its going to be sand/dust/water resistant, im not crazy about losing FaceID and a telephoto lense...but im still willing to give apple a shot and see what they got and then once i have all the facts, make an informed purchasing decision.

Yet somehow, it seems easer to whine and moan about an unannounced phone and declare "It should be called the Iphone Invisable cause it will never be in my house" like, ok good for you, why even waste your time in a rumor fourm about a phone you have no invested intrist in what so ever?

I can’t imagine such a gimped iPhone being called an “Ultra”. It has fewer cameras than a pro, possibly less battery life, a visible crease on the screen, & probably more missing, plus it’s going to cost an arm & a leg. Yes it will have a bigger screen when unfolded but unless it locks into an open position using it full screen in your hands is going to be weird. I know there are some people who are excited to get an iPhone & an iPad mini in one device, but this is not going to be that. Time will tell, but I’ll be surprised if this is a runaway success in the way that the iPhone 17 Pro Max was. For me I’m sticking with my iPhone 17 Pro Max & my M4 iPad Pro 11”.

Ultra expensive.

Anyway, I'm geeking about this iPhone's potential. I wonder what Apple has to offer for this type of product. They sometimes come with cool stuff (Dynamic Island, 3D Touch, for example.)
