I like the iPhone, I think its a good gadget, but I have my dislikes for it. Mostly of the common things people list along with iPod constantly crashes, sometimes the buttons would flash but not function, running slow, no GPS (I have the 1st gen) etc...

People ask why I got it, well, Its jailbroken so I can landscape txt and no bitch about that anymore, and because before I had it, I would carry my Crapberry and my iPod touch. Now its like they're both integrated + landscape text, which is more convenient for me.

Regardless, as long as it can make phone calls and play my music, I'm content.

It is impossible for me to commute the 30 miles to work without dropping a caller on three occasions. That being said, I love the iPhone and was appalled when a friend threatened to switch back to Verizon because of AT&T service.

It's amazing how AT&T has really good coverage in some metropolitan areas, and then in other big cities, it sucks. Here in So Cal, I never have less than 4 bars and 3g. But when I'm in Austin, TX or Miami, FL my reception was horrible. I just don't get it.

Watch what you are saying, it's just the Beejive server pushing an email message to notify you of an IM message. That is what he is refering to.

1. Pushing notifications through email is NOT the push notifications we're waiting for from Apple
2. You have to have an email account that supports push for that to even work properly
3. Who wants their inbox littered with IM messages?

BeeJive does not PUSH the way we're referring.

Actually my favourite bit about the iPhone is that it improves the Youtube watching experience... because you can't read the comments! Best bit. :D

No longer will a really awesome video or song be ruined by some sad losers arguing about something unrelated... like everything you might hear a song again you'll always remember that heated discussion in the comments.

I do secretly hate that is has no flash player, but I guess I could use my err... computer lol.

Love And Hate

it is definitely a LOVE and HATE relationship!!! ie. love the apps but hate the text message keyboard and the incapacity to have MMS and also ATT

Yes, I sometimes hate my iPhone because
-you can't change the background on the home screen
-the ringtones suck
-you can't receive business cards
-you can't send or receive pictures
-it hangs frequently enough to bother me, and sometimes you can't just turn it off or take out the battery
-horizontal typing isn't available for SMS or email
-you can't store files on it like on the iPod
-you can't create folders so the home screen isn't so cluttered
-you can't copy-paste text
-you can't forward messages

But I also love it for a lot of other things which by far outdo the things I hate the iPhone for B-)

I think I'm just getting bored of the current iPhone setup. I hardly use it lately and I'm still paying $100 a month for it... it doesn't seem right.

Even if you had a different phone, I doubt you would use it more.
The web browsing on the iPhone is second-to-none. No other phone is close.
Lanscape texting - what other phones offer both landscape and portrait mode text input, through a GUI?
MMS is coming soon and the way you Americans harp on about it makes me laugh. The percentage of people that use it, must be huge compared to here in the UK.

You're gonna love the 3.0 update.

Meh...this phone has been out for many months now. It's kind of outdated in the sense of cell phones but that doesn't really mean anything since every device will get outdated at some time.

It's good but it's overrated. It is certainly not the best "phone". My Curve 8900 does everything I wanted the iPhone to do and that touch screen camera became a hassle. They should add a QWERTY keyboard like the N97. All in all, it's great for multimedia.

You're gonna love the 3.0 update.

It should have all come out of the box.
Also, many people aren't buying the iPhone because it's only available on AT&T. The plans are terrible compared to what I'm using with T-mobile.

Maybe we'll see an iPhone coming out for T-mobile this summer or next year.r

Get rid of the phone if you hate it.

What a ridiculous thread. Just like the fools that hate or get tired of their girlfriends and stay in a relationship.
