But i did have a bar-mitzvah, and i am living off of that money pretty well, bought two ipods, and gone out many times, still have 3 grand left

JEWISH PRIDE!

i had a job wen i was 14 for bout a year but they went out of buisness (sandwich store) so im looking now at 15 though i would want one at the trafford centre apple centre :D but unlikly cause they appear to be over staffed:(

Made $2,500+ during the summer mowing lawns. Now, that the season is over, I think I'm going to do eBay and baby-sitting. My goal from now until the summer starts = $1,000.

Jobs less, i was a soccer offical for my town a year ago but i played this year.

I kind of live off of my xMaz and Bday stuff and save extra $$$ i get

I work for a store called The Pier (Pier 1 Imports in the US) www.pier.co.uk , been there exactly one year tomorrow! I love it, people are great. Get £4.55 an hour thats $7.80. Best thing about being under 18 = no tax or NI :D

I'm 18. Just finished high school 2 weeks ago (YAY!) but i also work at a supermarket on the cash registers. It gets a bit dull, but the pay is pretty decent and the ppl are really nice, so i suppose it'll do for the time being. Hoping to get into retail while at Uni, maybe at an Apple reseller??

All I have to say to that is "wow", you are/were a very busy boy!

Well im 16 left high school in may and then went to work at the same high school at the end of Augoust as an IT Technician, i love my job to bits, i go to colage every monday to do a CCNA (Cisco Networking Acadamy) Course, that kills me lol but its well worth having, i in the future hope to carry on with my 'technician' skills and own my own business fixing Pc's & Macs, Selling etc, I used to have an online business selling PC Modding components 9yup i used to be a modder) i made a wee bit of money in that, but i got let down by a few suppliers so decided to f**k it, because they found out my age, i thought this was harsh, was going to sue, but the amount i would pay, noy worth it at the end of the day lol

I'm 16. I work at foodworks in Australia. It's a convenience store. The shop is crap but the pay is more than my friends get at other places.

I'm a receptionist at my church. Pay is low, but hey, NJ Minimum wage goes up on Oct. 1, and I can use the internet :D

All I can say is that there are virtually no job openings for 13 year olds like me.

I got my job when I was 13, but I was just extremely lucky to find a great boss/place to work that needed someone new for Saturday boyish things.

I'd wait about 2 years and then look for one. 13 is very young, you will go through puberty in the next year or two (hang tight! :p ) and then you will appeal to employers a lot more. You're currently too young to do heavy physical work.

Believe me, give it two years and you'll be fine when it comes to getting a job ;)

I work at a pizza restaurant manning the cash register for to go. I've served and hosted, but I honestly like the cashier better (even if I make more money serving). The pizza restaurant is Mellow Mushroom if anyone knows it!

I'm also a sort of freelance web designer. I hesitate to say "designer" because even though that's my stronger area, most of my projects have been just web jobs (create a site index, add content, insert pics, etc) that aren't really design-based. Still make pretty good money!

I want to get into more advertising/promotions (I'm majoring in Communication in school). I'e done interviews, promo campaigns, etc. for free on my own, but I hope it will carry over into some sort of career.

Well, when I used to be under 18 I worked at Texas Stadium for a little while. It was a pretty sweet gig, got to see the Cowboys play on Sundays (and Monday night! Which was really awesome) and get paid for it!

If any of you live in the DFW area, they are always looking for ushers every year. Just show up in July and they give you a tour around the stadium. Give you a shirt/ID card that gets you in. Pays like 8.15/hour.

Some people "apply" just to be able to get in the games for free. Seeing how they let you in if you just wear the shirt. :p

If you're going to work during school, I would recommend just the weekends. Anything more is too much in my opinion. I worked in a grocery store during my senior year. Enjoyable job.

If wal-mart hires that early... um... DON'T!

15 worked for a lawn care and lanscapebuissness that went out of buisness, i mowed lawn s with manual and riding lawnmowers, edged, weed eated, pushed weelbarrols of bricks planted plants, anything realy. pay wasnt too bad for a first time job. $6.50/hr, i made over $1300 over 3 months in the school year granted i was working 30 plus hours a week. one week i worked 50 hours(Spring Break) (4 12 hour days) hardest work i ever did, but i made $400 after taxes

Technically I do odd web development jobs, which gets me maybe $200-500 per project. I think I'm going to apply somewhere to get regular pay to afford a car & insurance/maintenence.

Until this past spring i worked at Lindt & Sprungli....the chocolate store....THE BEST JOB I HAVE EVER HAD!......but then the location moved elsewhere, so i was forced to find a new job.....so my current place of employment is at a Gift Shop/Garden Supply/Plants & Flowers kinda place....i mostly take care of plants, which is nice because i get to be outside....and i get paid pretty well...for a student anyways:)
