the keynote sucked. Did anyone like it? Stale, sterile, fake, and stupid.

Why did they talk to us like we are babies who don’t in stand technology or tech terms. Why rehash features that have been in products for generations? And why did everything seem to lack soul?

The island is dope though, but the older keynotes were actually watchable start to finish.

These just feel like ads

I own a Garmin and an older Apple Watch. The Garmin only for ultra running. The Ultra watch blows any competitor that I'm aware of out of the water. Can't wait to get one.

iPhones where I live are over €100 more expensive. They kept 13, 12 and 12 mini around for sale and 12 mini is €829. Base iPhone 14 Pro is €1,339 (US$1,331). What greedy people working at this company.
The Euro dropped massively with respect to the Dollar since a year ago, and the nominal US prices also don’t include sales tax, so are actually higher depending on the US state.

Hmm, I am not sure, I was buy in with all these ads. It’s just feel empty and tasteless. The question is, why should I buy (or upgrade), given I have iPhone 12 already (camera is beyond good already), don’t like to use earphone, and has Garmin watch with 5+ days battery?

For once I was thinking when I heard Tim and others speak, was how redundant some of the product praising phrases were. If he had a suggestion box, it would be start talking products up spontaneously. It's like someone that constantly begins a statement with basically too often, some things said over and over from previous apple events are old, and there needs to be a new way to pitch products. Perhaps some group writes their lines, but it was putting me to sleep even with how well the graphical preparation/production quality of new products was. Also why do you have to discuss the price at the very end after a long pitch? hint captive audience. :D

I liked some of the remote locations they spoke from.

Very pleasantly surprised by the 14 Pro, especially that island thing. All in all a well done event, and kudos to the leakers that got it right.
Yeah, it looks better than I expected and despite what some people are saying, I like the purple in the photos. I’ll have to reserve my final judgment until I see it.

While the dynamic island seems supercool we have to see what the API’s are and if developers actually use this apart from the few stock apps.

This feature is exclusive for only this modelt and it will not be the standard iPhone for most people. I predict developers will only start using it when the feature comes to the regular iPhone next year and the true potential will only then be used.

Every single year Apple holds these types of events, and every single year there's always some debate (usually complaining) about the lack of new features in some of these products, and generally I usually see at least one or two things that I can look at and say are cool, but this year, even I'm floored by the absolute phoning it in by Apple.

iPhone 14 Dynamic Island? I wasn't even impressed with the pill and hole punch out that was rumored, and somehow they made it even worse with this gimmick. Dynamic Island is the new version of the Touch Bar. 48MP camera? Anyone who knows anything about photography knows that megapixels don't equal a better photo.

AirPods Pro 2 is the EXACT SAME THING as the first version. Like they didn't even attempt to modify the design or anything, and good luck getting touch controls to work on those short stems.

AirPods 3 without Magsafe? Who even would be asking for this? I don't even understand why this exists. What's the point?

Apple Watch Ultra? I just don't see the point of this. Like the Wayfinder thing is cool, but not for $800.

The one thing I know for sure I'll buy from Apple is more of their stock. I've been making a killing the last several years and it now appears that Apple is embracing a strategy of now selling last year's technology as brand new, and if people want to buy it, I'm all for it! LOL

I'm still shocked at the lack of widget adoption for iPhone home screens. It's completely underwhelming at this point. I just can't see something like dynamic island getting widespread support.
