There are still too many menu options in Apple's lineup. Its all very well having a good/better/best offering but when there are more options within this it becomes a mess. They should kill all the storage options and have the 'e' model with 128gb, the regular with 256gb, the Air at 512gb and the Pro at 1Tb in the same colour options across the board: Black, White and Product:Red.

If they must offer more colours then reduce the model count: A Mini variant in 6 colours and a Regular model with all the bells also in the same colours. Last years' models become the budget option.

Dropping the separate storage upsell axis would be quite detrimental to Apple's bottom line.

Another year, another cavalcade of “boring, snoozefest, Apple’s lost it” commentary.

It does seem like nothing Earth-shattering is coming this year, but this is bog standard Apple playbook stuff imo. There aren't too many more retina display-type jumps to make in hardware, and the incremental updates seem pretty good to me.

I’m looking forward to seeing what actually gets revealed next week.

The iPhone Air is such a waste of a product. Ask Samsung how the sales of their device are going. People don't want an ultra thin phone that can't last half a day off the charger. I just don't understand Apple's thinking on this one.

You have confirmed data from a credible source regarding the 17 Air's battery life?

I've ignored most of the phone/watch hardware rumors for the past few months. The underwhelm is awe-inspiring.

Why so many different iPhones? Whats happening.. lol.

Apple customers like options. Thus Apple provides options (at different price points) to their 1+ Billion active and repeat happy customers who have made Apple becoming one of the most successful consumer tech companies in the world. Simple.

There's no need to be pedantic. I think their point is simply that he doesn't think that people want to sacrifice battery life for thinness. We don't know the Air's battery life yet, but it's certainly going to have to be less than other models.

Exactly. You buy a new phone when you need it. Most people are good on a three to four year cycle with a purchase compelled due to carrier promotions. These things are basically appliances now.

Got it. It's just a guess. With no data. As is what Apple customers want.

I'm in the market for a new Apple TV and HomePod Mini pair, so this is disappointing. There's no point in buying them now with rumors of an update on the horizon. The wait continues...

I’ve never owned an Apple TV. Can you tell me what you’re looking for in terms of upgrades and why it makes a difference from the current model?

My current model is the Apple TV HD, which means it can't do 4k video and I have a new 77" OLED 4k TV.

Secondly, the Apple TV HD is slooooooow. Some apps - like Dazn - can take up to 20 seconds to load so that the menu becomes responsive to the remote and the scrolling can be an adventure at best. Having a faster chip and more memory is going to be a significant upgrade for a user like me.

The reason I want to stick with the Apple TV is because I heavily use home sharing to watch movies and shows, so it's a requirement for my household.

Plus, from what I've used (Android TV, LG's webOS and a friend's Roku), I prefer the UX of the Apple TV far and above those other ones (not saying it's perfect tho, far from it)

Lol, the Pro Max can last maybe 1 day and a half with regular use and you think a phone the size of a usb port is going to have great battery life?
