Bigger = same as iOS 12.

The “smaller” size is new to iOS 13 and allows more icons on the screen at once.

Bigger is the same sized icons as iOS 12

Also, you can’t pin the widgets to the left in Bigger

34 seems like a strange increment for the volume...

100 / 32 = 3.125
100 / 33 = 3.03
100 / 34 = 2.94
100 / 35 = 2.86
100 / 36 = 2.78

One would think an even division would make more sense.

100 / 25 = 4.00

What is the increment in the current release? I count 16 increments. So maybe this is an effective doubling (32)?

How about instead of making icons bigger or smaller...giving us the option to remove all app icons on the home page. It’s getting so dated now with iPad and iPhone with too many icons on our homepages. Why have a wallpaper when we can’t even see it?

Put everything in one folder and drag the folder to the dock. Done.

I've read that exchange is still wonky. As in badges and notifications aren't working.

It's doing better in this beta. Seems to be updating itself, unread counts are right, etc.

it is INSANE how many things Apple has finally started to put in the iOS for their stuff after all the cool jailbreak options. Why fight a war you can't win with the jailbreak community when you can just listen to the users and give us what we want?

Sure, there are still other cool tweaks you simply can't get with a walled OS but more and more, they are bending the knee to the true winners of the war. If they just give us what we wish to see, there would be no need to jailbreak, for the most part.

Enjoyed this comment by someone that has NO idea about how software development works, especially when you have a billion-dollar business serving many market segments. It's easy to say that Apple is caving, but that's just how it looks from one vantage point.

It takes time, resources and money to design features that are reliable, easy to understand, don't conflict with existing and future features, etc.

Jailbreaking reduces the stability of a device. That is well known. Apple is not going to throw features in "just because". They are not trying to punish users by withholding features.

It's not a war. It's a process. Big difference.

Is Light Mode / Dark Mode a Control Center Toggle or do you have to go deeper into settings to switch back and forth?

Apple Cash is coming to the UK it seems, opening the settings doesn’t show it though to turn it on yet

It may/may not work but if you change the Region settings to United States Apple Pay Cash will appear as an option under Wallet & Apple Pay.

Still... at least this might be a good sign!

Not sure if a CarPlay bug or Volkswagen implementation bug but with the last beta, sometimes audio wouldn’t work on initial CarPlay connection. Turning volume up just showed the mute icon. It could be fixed by unplugging and plugging again but a little annoying if you don’t notice before you start driving... Hoping this is fixed in this beta or a future one.

Terrific there's new wallpaper and a larger LTE icon, but how about a real usability improvement, like allowing sharing an entire photos library between different appleIDs? We are forced to log into our i-devices with the same appleID to get around Apple's lack of user friendliness for this common problem among families.

I'm glad they've added the option to make the icons bigger for iPadOS. I put all my apps in categorized folders, so I like the bigger icons and more spread out grid we currently have on iOS 12.

I installed the public beta 1 for a couple days and rolled back.. will wait for the official release.

At the end of the day, I read through the list and did not see anything earth shattering. You all must have a lot more free time that I do to find these changes compelling.

While it's not the only approach, you know Apple is "quietly" supportive of the jailbreak community.
What better way to see what people want than to let them build it. ;)

Bigger is the same size as now. They added an option for smaller but more icons.

I use shared albums for that and just include all the users I want to see it.

is Public Beta 4 going to drop today too!?

dumb question, but how do I know which public beta version I'm on. I only installed the beta several days ago, so I'd assume I'm in public beta 3... but I'm software update it just says iPadOS 13.0....
