34 seems like a strange increment for the volume...
100 / 32 = 3.125
100 / 33 = 3.03
100 / 34 = 2.94
100 / 35 = 2.86
100 / 36 = 2.78
One would think an even division would make more sense.
100 / 25 = 4.00
What is the increment in the current release? I count 16 increments. So maybe this is an effective doubling (32)?
Yes, 34 seems like a strange number of increments.
But the total number of increments is arbitrary and doesn't have to be a round number like 10 or 100.
Given the maximum volume, the total number of increments determines how finely the user can adjust the volume. The more total increments, the smaller the distance between adjacent increments hence the finer the control over the volume.
As you turn up the volume, you won't know the current increment number, whether the total is 34 or 100 or something else. And you probably don't care, you just want to get the volume to your preferred level, which you can tell by ear.
Maybe it might be useful to know your current level as a % of the maximum, but even then, having a nice round number of increments like 10 or 100 wouldn't be necessary.
Sorry, you probably knew some or all of this, I don't mean to condescend, I'm just killing time until the public beta drops.
Cheers!

Terrific there's new wallpaper and a larger LTE icon, but how about a real usability improvement, like allowing sharing an entire photos library between different appleIDs? We are forced to log into our i-devices with the same appleID to get around Apple's lack of user friendliness for this common problem among families.
iOS 13 has a lot of usability improvements. It might not have some of the ones you want, but it's not reasonable to expect that Apple can implement every improvement that every user wants.
You're not unreasonable to want things iOS doesn't have. You might give Android a look if you haven't already. I prefer iOS and Apple gear, but Android is very good and a better choice for many users.
