Where do you see the word "minute"?

Am I missing something with the macro mode toggle? Almost everyone wanted a button to switch to back to the wide when the photo was worse for Apple switching to macro mode.
Now If you toggle “auto macro” off, it makes taking macros impossible because manually switching to the ultra wide makes the images **much** darker than Apple’s current auto macro mode.

Apple unnecessarily holding our hands by limiting 4K recording on 128gb. Yes, you can fill the drive up fast… we get it. Now let’s enable it if we want to.

Still waiting for them to fix all of the wonky, choppy and stuttering animation issues with ProMotion on the 13 Pro. Makes an otherwise smooth phone look like amateur hour, especially considering the cost of these things and the fact that it’s Apple who should be getting the basics right on day one.
Are you using the 13 pro or this what you heard ?

Regarding ProRes, 1.7 GB per minute / 60 = 28.3 MB per second.

Divide that by 30 (to account for the 30 fps capture rate), & one gets 944 KB per sample !

ProRes is I-frame ONLY, so something doesn't add up.

If 4K30p, each raw data sample would require 3840 x 2160 x 4B = 33.2 MB.

Are they saying they're going from 33.2 MB to 944 KB on a per-sample basis ?

And here I'm naturally assuming a BGR10A2 capture format, which Apple may OR may NOT be using.

More-likely, they're using 16-bit integers for red, green, blue, & alpha.

Can someone who knows ProRes 422 well help me understand this ?

Genuinely curious: why can't you just long tap the notification to "open" the preview? Or just tap it to open?
Because it’s something I’ve been doing for the better part of a decade and was an unnecessary change. Tapping require multiple taps to open. Very Inefficient

The omission of 4K ProRes on the 128gb model is probably due to slower read/write speeds of the SSD.

smaller SSDs typically have less NAND flash chips which don’t allow them to write as much in parallel.

The bitrate of UHD 4K ProRes could saturate the bandwidth and any overhead needed to save the file without any loss of data.

I do recall seeing some review videos showing the slower SSD speed of the 128GB model. Don’t remember the exact numbers thou.

You switch to the UltraWide manually. Right now, the iPhone is doing that automatically.
So in ultra wide, how do you enter macro mode and get out of it? Or the toggle is, you enter macro automatically, but until you hit on ultra wide (1x or 0.5x), it will be in macro mode?

Hello, any hint of fixing the bug in IMessage?

not the well discussed bug in deleting photo when when syncing to iCloud, but the iMessage in iOS 15 treats the message before upgrade in one thread while those after upgrade in another thread.

it is like, when you search the message for one contact, you would be shown the contact icon and clicking it would bring you to the thread of the messages after upgrade.

however, if there is any resources links or photos that you I included in the messages with that person, you would be shown the icons of links or whatever, clicking it would bring you to the messages with this person before the upgrade.

it is really strange.

Also, I noted there is a bug with notes and reminders in ios15 that I considered them as major.

any notes tagged in ios15, would be disappeared in web note in iCloud.com.
