That’s a great mood to start tracking in the feature, then ;-)I've never been more bored about a feature announcement than mood tracking.

It’s a handy, insightful and welcome feature for a lot of people who find it interesting to track and monitor their mental state of mind. Apple’s Mental Wellbeing health feature can be used as a powerful tool to improve one’s mood throughout the day, week and month. Knowledge is power. I absolutely love it.I've never been more bored about a feature announcement than mood tracking.
It’s a real timesaver and works great every time!I want the feature that hides text messages that are just confirmation codes etc from your unread counter. I think that’s supposed to be coming.
Don’t do it! You’ll need your left pinky for when the end call button is moved to the lower back of the phoneI just promised to cut off my left pinky if the 'end call' button moves to the left in the next beta... God help me.
You’d be amazed at how much tracking your mood can improve it. You will start identifying what triggers you and building tools to circumvent it.Mood tracking will be used by less than 1% of users. Maybe if you're bipolar so you can show your doc a log... but otherwise. Who will use this? I'm not logging that on an app. If I am in a bad mood, logging it won't make it any better.
I usually use my right hand, but you're probably right — I will withdraw from that bet!Don’t do it! You’ll need your left pinky for when the end call button is moved to the lower back of the phone
It does more than remove them from unread, it deletes them. It's meant to do the same when such codes come via email too. Both rely on the website requiring the codes to correctly identify the box the code is to be pasted into - same as the way keychain works.I want the feature that hides text messages that are just confirmation codes etc from your unread counter. Like Robert Mitchum in The Yakuza?I just promised to cut off my left pinky if the 'end call' button moves to the left in the next beta... God help me.
Serenity NOW!Yep. To this day I'm still wondering what's the freakin' point of this app.

I wish my hair was that smooth...Like Robert Mitchum in The Yakuza?
That term is reserved for Safari!I believe the term is snappier.![]()
As someone with depression I find it very useful to help me look back at times I was less depressed and what my mood was to help my mind go back to a less volatile emotional state. For the same reason I’m excited for the journal app whenever that launches.
If you have depression, the last thing you want is to be looking at unnecessary apps, especially thinking about the past. Forget the past and concentrate on the present and future. This app is a waste of time, and just like many apps that apple introduced I will never ever open them, such as screen time, pointless, health data, pointless, I am sure there's more but I deleted them.As someone with depression I find it very useful to help me look back at times I was less depressed and what my mood was to help my mind go back to a less volatile emotional state. I completely agree, if you are sad, the last thing you want is to be fiddling with a pointless app, just go outside go for a run on fresh air, it will make you happier, apps wont make you happier, quite the contrary. So you are ok with filling up an app every now and then your mood changes? "Oh, I'm happy, let's write it down. Hmm, now I'm sad, gonna record it. For some reason I'm angry now, let's open the app"...
I mean... I know depression is a hard thing to go through but I do believe there are more useful ways to get help. I just don't see how stopping everything I'm doing to write down my current mood is going to help. I find it counter-productive.
But hey, I'm not judging those like you who find it useful, and maybe I just can't see the potential because I haven't used it yet, but... yeah... meh...
Why? Your memory is so short that you cant remember if you were happy or sad? And why remember it anyway? People should focus on feeling good on the present and future, there is nothing you can do about the past, totally pointless feature made for this new generation that live on their phones, every single thing they do they need to take a picture and post on social media, as if anyone cared, and now this. People will actually get depressed by being on their phones all the time. It’s a handy, insightful and welcome feature for a lot of people who find it interesting to track and monitor their mental state of mind. That’s fine that’s it’s a waste of time for you but managing depression for me means taking a look at how I’m feeling in specific moments and overall trends. That’s literally what I do in therapy and this gives me tools to do that while I’m not in a session or when I can’t afford therapy. Thinking about the past is actually important to me in handling my depression. If you have depression, the last thing you want is to be looking at unnecessary apps, especially thinking about the past. Thank you for your insightful and enlightening comment. I truly believe that Apple introduced this new feature for people like you. I hope it serves you well, my friend.
