It worked on my iPad with fr-FR. And since Siri language syncs across devices, AI got disabled on my Studio and MBA because it was set to fr-CA. Set Sequoia language to fr-FR to match with Siri, and boom macOS started downloading AI. So much work to make this work…!
 
Since when did Apple become Google/Microsoft with these software bugs? 🤦🏻‍♂️

Some small but useful changes. Have to see the new Priority notifications. The privacy dot with a black background is a nice change. The new food section in News+ is good but waiting for News+ to be available in more regions.

How about that for Photo app?

My 15PM is still downloading the Apple Intelligence models. All night connected to the charger and wifi.

Shame the maps still seems to use the primary phone language siri to speak directions, even if the app itself can run in localised language.. hopefully this is just a beta 1 thing, as I've been hoping to be able to get localised spoken directions for years - british siri completely butchers finnish street/place names.

Thanks! But unfortunately not really what I’m after… Basically I just want the option of having a maximum of one notification per app, and/or one notification per messaging user or group until I view/action it.

A busy group chat is the perfect example of where this would be beneficial - I don’t want my phone/watch to be constantly buzzing each time an individual sends a message, but would still like to know when there is be content available. If that makes sense?
 
Does Apple Intelligence actually work in Europe with this first beta, or is it just available in more European languages?

Same. Switching Siri language to English (US) enables Apple Intelligence after a lengthy download without progress indicator. At least on my 16 Pro. On my iPad Pro M2 it states it's downloading for hours on end now with no network activity - even after dis-/enabling the feature and restarting the device. Still takes up the same 6.13 GB of storage space though.

I know it's the first beta of 18.4, but to me iOS 18 in general feels very unpolished.
