Are you sure? I tried adding tags like: #dogs #cats #pets
but there's now just a note with those tags in it. I see no special functionality related to that text.

Yah, it doesn't do anything on my iPhone. I've got iOS 15.2 and an iPhone 12 pro.

Just because the documentation says it doesn't mean it actually works :)

works for me - maybe your Notes settings don't have Auto Convert to Tag set.

Still hoping to be able to READ Notes on my stupid watch...

Reminders is OK replacing a gazillion POST-IT notes, my desktop is somewhat tidier. The big issue I have is there seems to be no way to get it to show only one Or even two lines of the NOTES field. It displays 6 lines by default and just makes the screen somewhat ugly and in some cases useless. I want to see as many of my reminder on the screen as I can. If I need to goto notes part then I will do that.

So, in case my searching Dr Google is really naff, is there (or will there be in the iOS 15 version) a way to limit the display of the number of Notes lines in Reminders?

I use Reminders a lot less these days - mostly for grocery lists.

What I've done this year is use check circles in Notes. So I have a Todo note and it has a lot of check items at the top which are things I need to do in the next month or two. Then I have the current date in a heading and check items for the day. I check them off and can see what I did and what I need to do. If they don't get done that day, then I move them to the next day. If there's something I need to do a day or two later, I create an entry for that day. I may duplicate items in iCal as well as an extra reminder.

This way I have a nice record of the things that I did per day. One other reason why I did this is that Reminders, for some reason, is often slow, at updating on my iPhone. One further reason is that I can just cut and paste a bunch of items from one day to the next.

One thing that I would love is the ability to color code things in Notes.

@pshufd I get it using notes. I went to reminders because of its simplicity. Notes seemed overly complicated (for my usage). Whilst I understand what you are doing and why, the big issue for me would be the lack of persistence, ie. handraulically moving tasks from the previous day to today. I am actively trying to avoid any unnecessary intervention (by me) because it creates a point of failure in my workflow that I would definitely hit.

Other than that, I can try (again) MS TODO, I do have Microsoft 365 licensed, but I wanted to try to use the inbuilt Apple products. Like I said, the biggest issue is how many lines of Notes that are showing (and no way to configure). On the macbook it's 6, on the iPhone it's 4 so it must be hardcoded depending on device.

Thanks for explaining how you use notes, I might have to give it a try, regardless.
