I am disappointed that they’re giving the iPhone Mini the ax! I love my 12 mini, it does overheat easily and the battery life isn’t incredible, but I just LOVE the size of it.

I will probably grab a 13 mini right before it’s discontinuation so I have the updated version of it. Maybe they’ll bring it back in a couple years since the 13 mini would hold folks over for at least 2-3 years

If you can overlook the battery life, the SE is a really nice device.

Just out of interest, what do you use your phone for that makes you prefer a smaller form factor?

However, since around 2014/15 I never get that excited about announcements anymore. I'm not sure if that's age or just innovation has slowed....perhaps a bit of both.

Either way, it makes me feel a little sad.
I feel the same way, but I also think the leakers chasing internet “fame” are part of the problem. By the time the events have rolled around in recent years, we pretty much know everything that’s going to be presented. With the amount of leakers increasing it’s hard to not read about what’s (apparently) coming in the next Apple device.

Either way, it doesn’t take away the enjoyment of unboxing and using the item once we get our hands on them.

Count me as one of those who will be waiting for a 13 mini price cut to get one. :)

If you’re coming from 12mini, a 13mini is a SOLID upgrade and if it’s at $629 in September, easy buy.

Love my iphone X without a case. It's going to be a sad day when I finally drop this phone. New phones are so big...
Rocking an 11pro right now. Picked it up used. Agree so hard with yah. This shape and size is really nice.

I wish the XS and X weren’t so old I might have gone with the white one. I always did really like the pill shape two camera of the X.

S8 the same as S7?. Ooooook. Why update from S6?, just because of battery degrading?

The iPhone 14 is not even worth to be called an iPhone 13s. It’s basically an iPhone 13 rev A.
And if we use the S logic, the iPhone 13 was actually iPhone 12S, so the 14 would be iPhone 12S rev A. 14 pro is 12SS Pro.
just like the $2.5KAUD Samsung fold eh

Sigh. Someday we will see the Apple iPhone Pro Max support the Apple Pencil.
They won’t do that with the Pencil 2 because how would you charge it, and they are unlikely to extend the use cases for the Pencil 1. I don’t think pencil support for the iPhone is on the table anytime soon.

Ive on my iPhone X and REALLY do need a upgrade as the battery on this devices had degraded health wise plus i never liked the smaller screen size.
Question is......do i get the 14 Pro which is rumoured to be the last iPhone to feature the lightning port or do i try to hold off another year for the 15 Pro that will apparently feature USB C?

The only other Apple device at the moment which i own that has USB C ports is my 3 week old MBP 2021 model.

Not sure what to do??

I really hope Apple adds another driver to the pro. 2 more if they’re serious about sound quality. 1 dynamic for the low end, 1 for the mid and 1 for the treble. Tuned on the Harman curve. I’d pay $399 easily for that. Yeah right, though.

The one rumor that died off some time ago that got me interested in possibly upgrading was that of integrated satellite connectivity. Without that, I think I will cave this fall and finally get an Inreach Mini.
