As silly of a reason it is to upgrade, I am all for a 14 Pro Purple. Fingers crossed!
I am disappointed that they’re giving the iPhone Mini the ax! I love my 12 mini, it does overheat easily and the battery life isn’t incredible, but I just LOVE the size of it.
I will probably grab a 13 mini right before it’s discontinuation so I have the updated version of it. Maybe they’ll bring it back in a couple years since the 13 mini would hold folks over for at least 2-3 years
Just out of interest, what do you use your phone for that makes you prefer a smaller form factor?I am disappointed that they’re giving the iPhone Mini the ax! I love my 12 mini, it does overheat easily and the battery life isn’t incredible, but I just LOVE the size of it.

I feel the same way, but I also think the leakers chasing internet “fame” are part of the problem. By the time the events have rolled around in recent years, we pretty much know everything that’s going to be presented. With the amount of leakers increasing it’s hard to not read about what’s (apparently) coming in the next Apple device. However, since around 2014/15 I never get that excited about announcements anymore. I'm not sure if that's age or just innovation has slowed....perhaps a bit of both.
Either way, it makes me feel a little sad.
You know, that’s not silly at all. For the lay consumers, color is one major factor of buying decision. Just like cars. Majority of people doesn’t care about the engine inside the car, but they do care about the color. As silly of a reason it is to upgrade, I am all for a 14 Pro Purple. Fingers crossed!
Count me as one of those who will be waiting for a 13 mini price cut to get one.I am disappointed that they’re giving the iPhone Mini the ax! I love my 12 mini, it does overheat easily and the battery life isn’t incredible, but I just LOVE the size of it.

If you’re coming from 12mini, a 13mini is a SOLID upgrade and if it’s at $629 in September, easy buy.Count me as one of those who will be waiting for a 13 mini price cut to get one.![]()
Rocking an 11pro right now. Picked it up used. Agree so hard with yah. This shape and size is really nice.Love my iphone X without a case. It's going to be a sad day when I finally drop this phone. New phones are so big...
just like the $2.5KAUD Samsung fold ehThe iPhone 14 is not even worth to be called an iPhone 13s. It’s basically an iPhone 13 rev A.
And if we use the S logic, the iPhone 13 was actually iPhone 12S, so the 14 would be iPhone 12S rev A. 14 pro is 12SS Pro.
They won’t do that with the Pencil 2 because how would you charge it, and they are unlikely to extend the use cases for the Pencil 1. I don’t think pencil support for the iPhone is on the table anytime soon.Sigh. Someday we will see the Apple iPhone Pro Max support the Apple Pencil.
Right! It’s unclear why one should upgrade, given that the one you own was already the best iPhone ever. It’s always the best iPhone ever.
Same for me between the SE 2016 and the mini.I was just holding the 12 Pro and the 13 Pro, the former, being 20 grams lighter feels so much better…
