Everything We're Expecting to See at the WWDC 2024 Keynote

Translate app please! If we can get anything half as good as Google’s on the same damn phone I would appreciate it.
Eum… app already exists

I’ll take that bet, passwords as part of icloud via keychain (all icloud options, including free tier) are a big selling point of the seamless “just works” nature of the ecosystem, a standalone app is basically just a GUI for that, I have serious doubts it‘ll be tied to a subscription
Valid point.

My thoughts are since we may see a standalone app, it may include other aspects not available today from the barebones password section in settings. Things like 2FA/MFA linked to Face ID or Apple Watch, security breach notifications with some sort of click here to have all your passwords automatically changed and updated in your vault, some sort of VPN in the future, shared password vaults, additional tiered encrypted storage etc.
Those are what I think Apple will charge a monthly subscription for.

Moreover, I don’t think they’ll eliminate a free tier.

Xcode is so buggy that any port that is not completely rewritten is going to be a terrible experience.
I think xcode is Apple's secret weapon to keep up app quality in the Apple ecosystem. It's so insanely completed it discourages most casual devs

I was mostly ironic. But it's funny that calculator hasn't been on iPad yet, but is even available on Apple Watch and now needs to be highlighted as an upcoming feature.
When there is not much else to see and creative Timmy needs something to steel the show. It’s a safe bet for him… investing minimal money and talk about it the whole event 🤣😂🤣

Criticizing how Tim Cook dresses...so silly and immature. And for what purpose other than being able to feel good taking a swing at TC and Apple.

What's next... his haircut and glasses?

If that happens, then users can take open source software and compile it themselves and apple can't get a 15% cut.

What? They could already do that with Xcode. I think he means just having the IDE on the iPad. Logic and Final Cut came to the iPad it would be nice if the developers saw some iPad love too.
