For most apps it’d likely draw only marginally more app sales. And by the time most iPhone users will have migrated to a DI model, the DI may already start being phased out due to notchless models.
I hope they keep Dynamic Island in some form even if it disappears when not in use.
So many apps need a status area so you know what’s running in the background.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max, for example, is limited to 3x zoom, but the iPhone 15 Pro Max is expected to have between 5x and 10x zoom.
Why is the rumor mill so vague on this - 5x is a meaningless upgrade from 3x, ESPECIALLY since Samsung has had 10x optical for at least four years - not using a 10x optical periscope lens would be just more Apple upgrade garbage; they'll hold it for the 16 Ultra so you can buy again next year...surely it will be 10x this year.

"The iPhone 15 is not expected to use the Sony IMX-803 image sensor from the iPhone 14 Pro, and will instead use a different Sony sensor with improved capabilities."

"As far as the iPhone 15 Pro is concerned, improvements focus mainly on the Telephoto and Ultra Wide cameras, with the Main camera still using the same Sony IMX-803 image sensor found in the iPhone 14 Pro."

So you are saying the regular iPhone 15/15 Plus will have a better main camera than the Phone 15 Pro? Or just an improved sensor as compared to the iPhone 14/14 Plus?
It’s probably worse than the 14 Pro’s.

I also wonder how 48MP would work without ProRAW, as I think without it you can’t get 48MP and you just get 12MP shots. Will it be in the resolution settings (which would be a bit inconvenient since you only change those from the Settings app and you don’t want a huge 48MP file all the time) or would they bring ProRAW (which I really hope they do, there’s no reason to gatekeep a fully software feature that a third-party app can give you, it goes against what Apple usually stands for, which is usually software parity when hardware allows it)

7 days until the iPhone goes from “worst zoom camera” to “one of the best zoom cameras”.

I really want that periscope optical zoom, but I probably will not get it. You have to remember that the Pro Max not only is a lot to fit in a pocket, but very hard to use. You probably will not be able to reach across the screen for single handed use. UI designers constantly have touchable items at the top left of the screen. This will be unreachable for single handed use, even if you can "palm a basketball".
Then vote with your wallet and not whine about it.

well, the Samsung S23 Ultra does NOT have OPTICAL ZOOM, its digital, it's fixed focal length

from Samsungs website:
Optical Zoom at 3x and 10x, Digital Zoom up to 100x

True but the problem is they are not running the World’s Most Advanced Operating System. iOS ✅
If “photography world“ is meant to include the professionals, they would care little about what a smartphone lens can do and much less about operating systems. Of course, I the photo enthusiast albeit amateur would welcome improvements in the iPhone camera but i do not want to have to carry an oversized phone like the Max in my pocket for casual shooting to get periscope tech. I’d rather wait until the 16 which is supposed to have it in the smaller Pro

So the iPhone 15, 15 Plus and 15 Pro Max will get the biggest camera upgrades while the regular 15 Pro will get the smallest camera upgrade with much bigger camera upgrades coming next year with the 16 Pro. Those 16 Pro upgrades would include the SONY IMG-903 or better image sensor, periscope lens that the 15 Pro Max gets this year, 48 megapixels for all cameras and possibly double-stacked cameras if that feature isn’t released this year.
