Plasma instead of LCD's

i was surprised of this too, why would the rumoured viiv screen be a plasma?

i guess its shorter life (8yrs) compared to LCD's (16) is a denominator... who would keep their monitors for 16 yrs anyway!

Plasma vs LCD quality isnt really that much different anymore, besides the price.

Hopefully they insert this in their 30th anniv mac...
