Exploding retina pixel on new MBP 14”?

I just bought a MBP 14” a couple weeks ago. While cleaning the screen today, I noticed a tiny spot on the screen. It looks like very small pinhole. There’s not any other damage on the screen or corresponding location on the keyboard. I searched the forums and found instances of “retina exploding pixels” that look and sound exactly like my issue. The last thread on that issue was in 2018. Has anyone else seen similar issues on the new MBPs?

After digging more, it looks like this is actually impacting other MBPs (14” and 16”). I scheduled an appointment with Apple next week.

Looks like you should return it for a replacement.

Take it to Apple. They’ll repair it free under warranty.
