Seeing this behavior too, now 5 days after updating. Prior to Monday I would charge my Series 6 overnight to 100 percent, wear all day, and pht back on the charger at night (10 or 11pm) at about 30-40%. Now the watch is draining in the early evening to under 10%. It’s 7:49pm and just saw my batter at 10%.

Something is definitely up with 9.0.

My series 7 did use an extra 10-15% yesterday. “Settling in” and reindenting should long be over. Looks like the new OS is power hungry. Glad I got an ultra on the way.
It’s pretty common for the #.0 version of a new OS to be less efficient and use more power. It usually gets back to normal by the first update

I've also noticed the battery on my S7 draining faster almost a week after updating. It's manageable, but I do find myself now having to charge the watch more often than before.

I just got new SE on Friday charged up full last night, on before bed at 10pm, up this morning 79% at 6am. Maybe I’ll avoid sleep tracking from now on.

my s7 was doing this, and I had to reset it with my new phone. Now I am seeing 7% loss overnight.

Not much more to add, but this has been happening to me as well. I expected a brand new S8 to give me a lot more battery life than this but the fact that its been happening across all models probably points to the new OS. My S6 was on the beta and it was draining quickly as well though I chalked it up to age at the time.

S8 45 mm Cellular on OS 9, yesterday was my first full day with it. Took it off the charger at 8 AM with 100% battery, did a 3.5 mile outdoor run listening to music, played around with the watch all day tweaking settings and getting familiar with things, wore it all night for sleep tracking, it had 27% battery left when I put it on the charger at 8:45 this morning to top it off.

‘yep, I, after two days from the update am still losing an additional 10% of battery after the update. Looks like the extra power use is permanent and not going away.

I picked up an S8 (45mm cellular, but I haven't enabled cellular yet) this weekend and was very disappointed with its battery life. Charged it to 100% before I went to bed and after six hours it was at 78%.

However, this morning it said an update had been installed so I charged it back to 100%, and I've been wearing it since 6am and I'm only at 62%.

Don't know if thats good or bad for the watches, but I'm now satisfied with the new battery life.

Yes. The new update is draining my Hermes Series7. Not happy about this. Used to charge my phone every evening when I do dishes, and it's good for a whole day. But now I may have to charge twice a day because I also sleep track.

Updated to iOS Beta 9.1 and it seems to fix the problem, though I don't recommend everyone do that as many don't want to be constantly testing beta builds.

Apple needs to release an update for iOS 9 ASAP. Wonder if they are aware

My S7 improved after a reset.

Charger to 100% yesterday 9pm. Currently 5:30 pm with 43% left.

130 min workout recorded with AOD disabled. Rest of the time AOD is on (except at night of course)

My battery life on OS 9 is absolutely horrible. Last night, I tried using low power mode to see if that would help. I took my watch off at 49% and put in low power mode overnight. When I put it on this morning, it was at 26%. That's ridiculous.

The battery life on my S4 in WatchOS 9 is even worse than when it was last on 6.2.8 on 9/15. I updated to watchOS 9 when I received my 14 Pro Max this past Friday. I have been sleep tracking with AutoSleep for 3 years so I always charge before bed and charge before leaving out the house for work. For what it’s worth the battery capacity is 75% on my watch, so I definitely need a battery change. I have an Ultra replacing it coming on Friday.

My battery has gone to poop after setting up a focus that switches the watch face which turns on automatically when I get to a location. It was the same battery life as watchOS 8 for the first few days before I did so.
