Not really surprising, we’re now discussing which scenario is worse. Imo, apple having no control of the App Store is the worst of all scenarios.
Well to be fair. Getting jailed or killed by your government for wrong think is probably worse than apple not controlling iOS.

And it makes it harder for the government to control what programs, communications and websites you visit.
At least for for a decent chunk of iOS users who live in dangerous places.
 
I don't think its bad that Apple takes a percentage but it may be a little high but they handle tiny payments really well and that is also not easy to do with the complex financial systems of today. BUT Apple sure as h*** should not be allowed to pressure Twitter etc. into removing certain type of users/posts. Thats just crazy. The world is full of people you will never agree with - it's ok :)

But of course Zuck praised Google. All either of them care about is mining your data.

To be fair that’s only the tip of the iceberg. The rest of the iceberg is much more concerning.
And it makes it harder for the government to control what programs, communications and websites you visit.

It makes it easier for others to put you in their crosshairs.
