Problems with uploading pictures to facebook?
This is what i just did
Download and install facebook app for iphone (directly from your ipad)
Iphone apps work fine on ipads, it,s just a small screen.
Use it only when you upload a picture!!
I haven't checked yet if it will give me push notices too. If it does it will be great.
Anyways i will be able to load pictures taken by ipad directly to the site!! That's good eough for me now!!

Btw, i just use safari for other activities on facebook and i don't see any benefit from using Friendly

what exactly makes
'crappy iPhone app (for uploading pics) + Facebook.com in safari'
better than
'Friendly (for uploading pics) + Facebook.com in safari (or even within friendly)',

seeing as friendly uploads pictures too, but also offers in-feed-youtube videos and multi-user support

It amazes me that most people don't even know Friended. It I much better than anything else on the iPad and allows almost everything that a desktop browser can do on Facebook. Try it! Friendly is just another version of the touch based Facebook site..

I've kept the Facebook iPhone app on my iPad because it's the only way I've been able to play certain videos my friends have uploaded through Facebook. Friendly won't play them, and of course they don't even show up in safari.

I also don't know how to view a group I'm in through friendly.

You can access your groups with Friended. I do not want to sound as I am promoting it. I am not affiliated in any way with them, I am just happy to have an app that isn't just another copy of the Facebook touch based site.

You guys should give Frienatic. Just got released, it's a mix of Facebook mixed with Flipboard/Pulse! Very nice and different way of looking at it.

It's still beng worked on as we speak, the developer is a member of this forum and takes alot of feedback from users. A lot of things have already been fixed and is ready for their next update

It certainly looks interesting, even if it seems to lack groups.

What's awful about it? I must have hit my head, but I kind of like it.

With that said, Facebook itself is pretty freaking awful. :)

I like that friendly leaves out all the game requests and ditches the constant advertising.
I retract my above post.

Friendly is a clusterf*ck.

I don't know what's worse, the app not working at all or their support site (which is a facebook fan page).

Am I running the same version of friendly as you all? What is so buggy about it ?
Version 3.5 is current.

What's buggy about it? Since at least Friday the app simply doesn't do anything.

Oecoway, the developer, claims Facebook broke their app and a fix is coming in "hours". I guess everyone's definition of "hours" is different.

If you're running an older version and it still works, don't update yet!

Yeah 3.5 is broke for me too. If you restart the app, it loads a browser version of Facebook. Click "done" and you just get a black screen with eventually an error message (something about "NETPAD")

I've been using 'Friends With Benefits', really like it so far. I deleted Friendly immediately, tired of that piece of junk.

Wish I knew that earlier before the wife asked me to update her iPad.

I really dont get that Facebook tits stance against the iPad claiming no app is necessary. Sod all reallly works thru the browser, the guy is just too stubborn as I guess most zillionaires would be. I cant see him changing his mind no matter how much $$$$

Would be happy if Facebook for iPhone was just made a universal app so at least you didnt have to expand it on iPad.

Don't know if it's ever going to happen.

http://mashable.com/2010/11/03/mark-zuckerberg-the-ipad-isnt-mobile/

Seems like they'd rather build an excellent HTML5 site that works on all platforms than build individual apps.

Makes sense considering apps for tablets would have to cover RIM, WebOS, Android, iOS, Windows, etc.

When Zuckerburg made the comment about "not being mobile" it didnt mean there wasnt going to be an iPad app. The event he said that at was for the mobile phone platform, not tablets/iPads. So when he said, "the iPad isnt mobile," he meant that it wasnt a mobile phone and didnt have anything to do with what they were deploying that day. Everyone who has reported this misinterpreted Zuck.
