I think it's a combo of Google/Snap's past hardware failures and Facebook's terrible reputation for privacy and general lack of caring about truth and social media users' mental health.Are all the naysayers here, because it’s from Facebook or the idea of any digital glasses in general?

Why do you trust them more? Both FB and Snap are in the business of collecting user data on one end, and selling you relevant ads on the other. They just take different routes to get there. FB just has a higher historical creep factor because of its enormous social network and ad businesses.Um…these are already a thing. They’re called Snapchat Spectacles and they’ve been out forever and have different styles, better features, and around the same price. Plus, I actually trust Snapchat a lot more than Facebook.

The type of people who would willingly purchase these and put them on their face escapes me. It surely doesn't include any of the intelligent, real humans with whom I actually associate?
