For the past week or so, when I update my Facebook status from my iPhone it no longer says 'via Facebook for iPhone'. It will just say 'via Facebook Mobile'. Did Facebook change something?

Yes, they changed it so that it no longer says 'via Facebook for iPhone'. It will just say 'via Facebook Mobile'.

It does this for Apple and Android, but for Windows it's still "via HP Web OS" or something similar. Weird.

I've noticed this. Kinda sad. Clumping the massive group of Android users with iPhone users.

If you go on the page for the iPhone facebook app, all the users are complaining as well, lol.
I kind of liked how it showed the platforms, but it should really say "via iOS" not "via iPhone"

Que the time for a new startup social website to start where FB fails, not counting Google+ though.

Facebook is starting to pull a RIM and is slowly becoming irrelevant.

True, but my opinion is just that it's becoming bloated, I mean there isn't a whole lot of content that doesn't say "Checked in at McDonalds" and I'm washing my car, etc.

How so? Last I checked it was the largest social networking site, with over 3.5 times the number of users Twitter (2nd largest) has. That's pretty much the opposite of irrelevant in my books.

Why do people care about this? You do know having an iphone doesn't make your penis bigger or anything...

Tbh there are some things that twitter does far better than facebook but also some things facebook does far better than twitter. They're both good for different reasons.

Yep, you can still do it from this program on this website.

Basically you can choose other funny 'update via' signatures including the microwave oven, PS3, camera, calculator even your mom. :p

You can also create your own devices

    Enjoy!

That's not windows phone, it's HP web OS... Completely different OS. Windows Phone 7 vs HP WebOS (formerly palm web os).

I think it's relevant to bring this joke back up:

    Q. How do you know when someone has an iPhone?

    A. They tell you. :D

The facebook iphone app is terrible. I guess facebook doesn't actually want anyone to use it; the mobile site has much greater functionality.
