Same thoughts in my mind. Thank you!I seem to be doing ok,
See what Facebook does to your online communication skill set? Neuters it.
Let me guess, you have 1500 friends; yet when you want to go out, you haven't anyone to accept your request.

This is why Facebook is one of the most hated platforms and why users are leaving. Facebook is MySpace, full of spam, hatred, abandoned pages etcetera. This certainly wasn't Zuckerberg's vision, but is the result of the trolls running the show now. Ever heard of a great user experience, Facebook? Forcing users to do something with a threat of blowing up their collection of photos is disgusting. Keep coercing customers, Facebook. See how that pans out long term.
People still use Crapbook?
Facebook is the definition of Social Media. Only since its arrival socializing has suffered. It is about the worst thing one can treat himself with. Facebook is a one way ticket to becoming unsocial. 1000s of Virtual Friends and friends loosing their dignity with selfies etc. Zuckerberg had to create Facebook to get friends. No one would have followed him in real life without Facebook. Facebook is his idea of being social. How social is 10 people meeting to meet only to sit and stare at their 'smart' - phones and check if someone they dont really know, liked them... Almost amusing if it was not so darn sad.
And on top of that, Mark gets to rape all his users who will happily do whatever he SAYS !!
Slavery was harmless compared to Facebook. Wait n See !
Yes. People I know are leaving, have left. Downloaded their data and deleted their accounts. Some people refuse to join. It's actually happening. Maybe not immediately it will fall but it will eventually. Twitter I see sticking around for a long time. It's focus is clear.Do you have any proof that users are leaving?
As much as I hate facebook, it isn't going anywhere. I once thought that it would die out like myspace... Not gonna happen.

Yes. A billion people do. Nice lame insult though.

They are focussing on their competencies, and that's to make life easier for users and in the process make a hell lot of money from advertisement.Or they could, you know, focus on their core competencies instead of spinning things off to die a slow death, like this photo feature. It's a fine line to toe without alienating your users.
If you're not aware of, Twitter as a company is struggling because they're not making enough money from adverts as they expected. This is down to the fact that people don't share their personal data so targeted advert doesn't work as well.Yes. People I know are leaving, have left. "Facebook right now is the ultimate advert platform" -- and that's why people are leaving, they don't want to be marketed to 24/7.If you're not aware of, Twitter as a company is struggling because they're not making enough money from adverts as they expected. Facebook right now is the ultimate advert platform for businesses.
You don't appear to understand how these "free" services work. No ads, no service. Or, it becomes a paid service. Take your pick - one or the other. No different than ad-supported apps. You don't like the ads? Fine. Pay for the in-app update to switch them off. Because, big fricking surprise... companies make money."Facebook right now is the ultimate advert platform" -- and that's why people are leaving, they don't want to be marketed to 24/7.
What weird incoherent statements you've strung together. There is more than two ways to structure a service as you have stated. You don't appear to understand how these "free" services work. You keep quoting that individuals that you know have left. That's like saying Apple is dying because you know two people who switched to Android. Big woop. It's completely worthless without overall worldwide marketshare and usage trend data.
Despite what Michael Jackson taught you, you are not the world.
So ok you give Facebook your info & what are they going to do with it as a business?! If not use for advertisement?! I can't believe how naive some people are. How do you think a multimillion dollar company functions?!What weird incoherent statements you've strung together. There is more than two ways to structure a service as you have stated.
I'm using a quote to respond to your comment -- "Facebook is not free. While you don't have to pay to join the site, you nonetheless give Facebook two things that are much more valuable: your time and your intellectual property. Facebook gives you access to its system for free because it is in Facebook's interest that you spend time on the system and click links. So, what is your time worth? Quite a bit, when you consider that being on Facebook is keeping you from doing other things."
Lol, people use facebook to communicate with friends... You're cluelessMissing out on what? To see people I don't know get married and have kids?
I actually have friends. You know, the kind that you dial their number and talk to. The ones where they have your actual back.
Seems like overall by far more are joining and using rather than leaving. The market also seems to see the opposite about Facebook compared to Twitter so far.Yes. It seems for most people the information that they provide isn't anything that they really care about or find "tangible" essentially, so for them, they aren't really giving up anything that they would miss or that has value to them.
Which means to them it's not important and thus they aren't really giving up anything worthwhile to them (otherwise they would see it as important and would therefore think about it).I think most people just don't think about it enough to realize what they are giving up for most "free" services. Facebook, Google.....there is a cost even if it isn't financial. I'm not saying it isn't worth it for people, but I doubt most think twice about it when they are going to sign up.
A lot of that is due to not having enough knowledge about privacy and how data can be used to potentially harm someone.Which means to them it's not important and thus they aren't really giving up anything worthwhile to them (otherwise they would see it as important and would therefore think about it).
Well, there's http://www.messenger.comI'm actually surprised Facebook hasn't come out with Windows 10/Mac App Store native Messenger apps and tried to kill it on desktop.
Or maybe that's next?

I am getting really fed up with Facebook. The iOS is now pushing 200MB, yet other social apps seem to get by with half of that. No doubt much of the Facebook app is about spying on users (Either that, or Facebook programmers are cr*p).
