there's no chat popup on the web interface.

If that was true it wouldn't be as bad. I check mac rumours once per day and spend the rest of the time working, reading, surfing or playing with my dog

Anyone else get the feeling Facebook just does the bare minimum for their apps?

Never mind the bugs or the crashes, you still can't create events a feature they added in 2006 to the website.

Except you can't upload photos from the web interface.

This update didn't fix any of the things I've been having problems with. Sigh.

I really wonder what happend behind closed doors with Apple and Facebook. IIRC Facebook was baked into early builds of iOS 4 and Ping. Then it seemed to all fall apart.

In the end we have great support for Twitter while Facebook is all but ignored.

twitter has not updated there UI for the ipad to match the new twitter so they are in the same boat as Facebook not updating to the latest UI (timeline). frustrated on both.
