I saw this yesterday and shared this with my girlfriend of nearly 8 years, who is, like me, working from home in our apartment. The bedroom is now my office, and the spare bedroom is her office.

Her response: "I'm right here, what do we need an app for?"

No thanks, Facebook.

Exactly. And this concept has been hugely popular particularly in Asia, with virtual gifting, snapshot memories, etc.

The concept isn’t my cup of tea — imagine having a permanent record of your teenage romances — but it clearly is for some people.

The fact that Facebook is the company that released this under a pseudonym will be lost on most people because 1) most people will never realize the connection between the pseudonym and Facebook and 2) even if they do, they won’t care because they use Facebook daily and simply aren’t aware or don’t care of the privacy implications.

Is this a late April Fools Joke? It has to be, right?

Who in their right mind would ever trust Facebook with "private" messages? This is truly unbelievable.

Yeah... her, me and Zuck or some other brogrammer peeking in... That's the opposite of romantic... and you can't have Facebook and "private space" in the same sentence.

"...a private space..." is a joke unto itself when it comes to Facebook. The only thing private about Facebook is probably the life of Zuckerberg that people do not know whereas he knows about everyone.

So they encourage people to share music, voice notes, and what not so they can peep into their even more intimate stuff!
