Did you use FaceBook/FB Messenger or WhatsApp?
The complexity and scope of the data collection system is something that takes a while to get your head around. Even if you take every precaution to protect your own privacy it's dependent on the receiver to do the same. If you have been looking at bathroom fittings on line and that data is available, then you call your management company in the same time frame it's not too difficult to surmise it might be about bathroom maintenance. Either way it's worth a shot.
I used neither for that. I communicated via other means, but somehow our data is being accessed by them.

One day I was talking with someone about him meeting Daniel Radcliffe in NY… and then, all of the sudden, YouTube exploded showing me recommendations of meeting Daniel, something I never ever searched for. That was so creepy.

Okay so I’m not sure how ATT works anymore. It’s supposed to stop cross tracking between apps. Does this include the browser history from Safari?

I ran a few tests and every single thing I searched for in Safari showed up on my Instagram feed.

Now the creepy part is that I had a conversation with my sister about a comb and it showed up on my Instagram feed.

Don’t have the fb app. Only Instagram and WhatsApp. Microphone access denied.

Also today was the first time I got a prompt from WhatsApp to turn on Background App refresh so the messages can load faster (sure, that’s the reason).

Man, I hate this ****…

I have used the free AdGuard for Safari with some success in the past. I don't use Safari as my Default any more so it's a moot point but I did find it successful when I was.
You don't need the Paid For full system version.

As if I care, fakebook can cry me a river. The corona pandemic has cost many people and companies their entire livelihoods, but lots of those people and companies are dealing with it, they are busy finding/developing another business model. fb should just do the same.
