I feel like I started streaming this series and forgot to finish it because it was too cliche.

Anyway, shouldn't it an immersive pod instead of a retail store?

Oh, the irony:

Judgement-free? Really? So you'll be allowed to go into the shop and write FB posts against the FB miscode of misconduct? They won't judge that?

Honestly, I wonder when Marky sold his soul to get that green because he seems completely oblivious to why Facebook is hated, why it is a terrible product for society in general, and why it destroys the lives of so many people. I deleted my Facebook/"meta" page a a while ago and it has been the best thing I could have done.

You can almost feel the desperation, can't you?

'I'm not evil, I'm just a flawed man anxious over losing my fortune marketing the worst in humanity to our members. Why don't more people love me?'

You walk the entrance through the full body scanner, put all your RFID shielding on the tray, test swipe all your credit cards and ID. The you are treated by the concierge who will give you a complimentary cup of coffee in exchange for the names of 5 friends. After that, you are directed down a hall with electronic screen rolling targeted adds, where a specialist collects personal information and medical history, and invites you to lunch.

When you are ready to go, you realize they bought your house. You can check out any time you want, but you can never really leave.

Zucks was stupid enough to think people will do this.

Can you imagine what it will actually look like to a third person?

You will look like some loser sitting at a table talking to an invisible space at the coffee table.

It will feel and look so stupid that nobody will do this.

We see homeless people and mentally ill people talk to invisible people.

The rest of us play chess with an actual board and a physical person with no lag and no software bugs.

The real fact is AR will have thousands of bugs. People and objects will appear in the wrong place or not aligned properly or jerking around just like multiplayer games and GPS maps.

I take an extreme, cynical point of view of this. It's really a matter of "same clowns, different circus" -- their core motivations and abuses will remain the same and, in some cases I suspect remain hidden.

Meta is nothing more than a new environment created for insecure creepy people with fake avatars and skins. Did I mention the pedophiles, scammers and hackers looking to steal your data? This is worse than the dark web.

Nah if you know a lot of people you'll find that your view is incorrect. I know many people who can't wait for the metaverse and they're all normal

I am glad I stopped using Facebook years - I have no Google or Facebook apps accounts or services.

They are an arm of a corporate/fascist regime that want surveillance and control.

Get out in the real world - where their control ends.

I only use my Facebook account reluctantly and keep it alive because there are a few people on it that I can't contact any other way. Social media can have some positives but in some other areas it has been hugely damaging and I want less Facebook, not more.

Basing your conclusions about what is correct or incorrect on the number of people you know (who happen to agree with you) is a logical fallacy called the “Argument by Weight of Numbers”. If 8 billion people share your belief that the Moon is made of cheese, I am still correct to state that the Moon is not made of cheese; even if I won’t have as many friends or Likes as you by saying it.

I'm just looking forward to trolling those who take this "reality" seriously...
