This could have been a huge hit in '08-'09. Now, not so much. WHY must the media make everything so insanely void of logic or intellect? "iPhone competitor"? Why? Sounds like more of a competitor to the heavily fragmented line of other sharers of the flea-market that is Android.

It looks like a poor mans iPhone, however. Talk about I/P violation.

As for the complaints about a "larger iPhone". I have to agree there. I love iPhone 5, think it's the best piece of hardware out there still, by far the best screen color reproduction/accuracy (and yes that includes the overhyped, overmarketed, POS plastic GS3 with a "4" at the end GS4), and love Apple, but they are really being idiotic with the stubborness in keeping it such a small form factor without the option of a larger one as well. C'mon Apple, really. Funny thing is, you know that's a Steve Jobs thing, I guarantee he struck down any notion by engineers of marketers within the company to provide a larger phone. He's the greatest visionary of our time, but stubborness, for better or worse, was part of his strong character.

No interest in anything FaceBook, however the new HTC One does look like a decent phone, maybe more so than the Samsung line that is out now.

I don't have Facebook. But I have a Macrumors account. I'm waiting for a Macrumors phone.

Hmm I think you are all being too skeptical.

If they price this thing right it could take off. Probably a good move for HTC - they needed to get back into the game and with Facebook doing the marketing that can only be good for HTC

This phone isn't going to compete with the iPhone at all. However, apple better watch out for the Galaxy S4, because that phone is better than any leaked info about the iPhone 5S, and much more than the iPhone 5

Yeah. Because the Galaxy S4 has so many cool features (that no one all ever use).

And the new iPhone will definitely not have any great features that will be leaked in advance of its release. Really? Are you sure about that? Would you like to bet?

I suppose we will have to wait and see, but I am not sure how typical Facebook users (those that actually enjoy using their service) would benefit from deeper Facebook integration. Facebook would obviously benefit by collecting more user information, but I feel current level of integration is more deep than I would like to.

I think it's more of an attempt to gain leverage against competitors in the mobile ad market, especially against Google

Bake FB into the phone instead of just treating it as a downloadable app and they gain an advantage

But what's in it for the buyer? I can see why FB wants it, but unless they give it away extra-much, why would someone switch to it over an iPhone or android with the FB app? And it's not as if FB can cripple its apps for other phones, or it will just lose customers.

Google already claimed blue.

This reminds me of the Chrome book, where it can only do one thing, and it would be the only thing that will be cheap, so you can't call it a phone, since its not. But for social networking alike, its perfect, but it also means you'll be carrying at least two device around with you..

I prefer the "apple way" where its integrated.

btw...Whats with the Android police ... 1Gig seems ok though.
