I agree that Face ID should be more secure. I just hope it ends up being at least as convenient as Touch ID.

Monkey see, monkey do. Here come the Face ID rip-offs.

Just like Touch ID did to industry Face ID is next. Fingerprint scanner has been available for years but Apple has improved the tech to next level and what do you see on every Android phones now?

Apple bought the fingerprint sensor company that everyone in the industry was using, to prevent anyone else from also getting the upgraded sensor.

I dont understand....Apple stole the faceID from Samsung (who did it first). Why a sudden surge in interest?

A: Because Samsung did not do it first they put out a ****** version of faceID that is not secure. Of course no one calls them out for putting out a ****** product. The next version of every Android phone will now include faceID.

But Apple still copied everyone else......

How long do we think it will take for banking apps to allow log in with face Id instead of Touch ID?
It is immediate. The app does not know how the iPhone is authenticating identically. The app receives word from the secure enclave that ID has been verified, period. So apps that currently use Touch ID verification will work seamlessly with Face ID.

No Apple took a poorly implemented idea, made it robust and work, just like usual. It’s no where the same recognition system as Samsung used and failed making it secure. Picture of Face gets you in LMAO

Ooh really. Wonder how it will work though. Now when you open app it advises you to place finger. Now when you open app it will log in instantly

Google wallet was around for awhile with NFC, but no one used it or cared.

Great for competition, especially since Samsung pay actually surpassed Apple pay with usability (Works with magnetic strip)

That is because Samsung pay plays the sound that your card make with you swipe it. Its the same thing as swiping your card, and isn't as safe as nfc chips payments.

Which company came out first, a phone with a touchsreen, app store, camera, map? Not Apple not Android. It was Palm.

No they showed it, Face ID unlocks and you hit button on side to engage. Where everyone coming up this this stuff? That’s how Apple Pay works. You think this is rocket science?

They always lead the market in these fields. Fingerprint scanning became a must after Apple had it. Now, this is just another in that vein. Same goes for the iMac forcing USB adoption.
