counterfeit dispute? LOL...hmmm...everything from aliexpress is a knockoff item. Hence, the reason why we are paying such cheap price vs. the $150 real thing :)

Again for others reading this thread for the first time, AVOID the white version for now because those have a high percentage of quality issues. Even the SELLER is saying "avoid buying it due to bad quality".

Im wondering if I should open a counterfeit dispute or a shoddy dispute. I was thinking maybe aliexpress doesnt take kindly to counterfeits.

yea thats what I was thinking so I dont know why they have that as a option. They never do mention its fake though. To top it off it took him 10 days to send it out, all that time of waiting and he sends me **** he had 10 days to make sure I got a good product.

I don't blame you...I would be very disappointed too thinking that you paid more than the average price. I would expect better quality out of them than the cheaper one.

good luck on your refund.... I did order a white version from Simon, but I already expect a bad quality from it since he told me before I ordered it...I told myself..it's only $20 that I'm losing...someone did said that Simon are expecting to receive better batch in Nov...so maybe he'll be able to send me a better one...if not, then oh well...hopefully my silver/silver from another seller comes out better.

See... I personally think that all of these sellers have one source that these cases are coming from, even though that one just looks horrible.

I guess people can charge a higher premium to get people to think they are paying the extra cost due to better quality. Its a marketing scam... think cans of corn on the shelf at your grocery store. They are ALL the same but yet one costs 20%-30% more.

I hope the cases I ordered works out! And hope you get your refund on that one.

i'm one of those fool that pay for the higher price.

I'm a sucker for it....just did it yesterday at the grocery....4 options..I picked the highest price one LOL...

Wow, that white one looks horrible, please guys, leave appropriate feedback mentioning the white case so that others are forewarned :(

I dont think I can leave negative feedback. Otherwise Id hold it offer his head to give me my refund immediately or ill write a bad review. I believe Im going to have to ship it back which is bs.

that white one certainly look worse than they show in their ad/listing...good luck with your dispute. did you pay with paypal?

I asked a few of the sellers last night about the quality of the Vapor Pro White Ops and they all said that it's better than last month's. What do you guys make of this?

i ordered one from simon and jacky nie and simon didn't tell me anything about the white one being bad quality...

his partner or employee did...Cindy I believe? :) She's the one that said a newer batch is going to be better than the previous batch.

I ordered one from Cindy on Friday. She said the new ones were better quality than the old ones. The pictures she sent me looked nice, but we'll see what actually shows up.

I ordered from her on Friday as well. Have you received a tracking number or anything yet?

I haven't read through the entire thread, is there some sort of consensus on the quality of these things?

Are there any similar cases that aren't knockoffs?

i wonder if these people are saying whatever they feel like to make the consumer feel better? simon told me the quality of the batch he sold is top notch and never mentioned anything about poor quality on the white even after i asked him.

when i contacted jacky to cancel my order because they were out of the white ones he told me to wait 24 hours and i could cancel it myself. when i asked him when the new ones were coming, he told me to hold for 5 minutes and called the factory. he then said that i was lucky because the new batch just came out from the factory and he would send me one of those...so i wonder if this is apart of the "good quality/new" ones or they're all just lying...

the earlier batches of the knockoffs seemed to have been better quality. lately we've been getting a lot of complaints about sizing with the black ops and poor paint/alignment with the white ones.

some sellers have claimed that a "new batch" of cases are much better in quality. many of us haven't received ours yet so we can't really say...i guess if you're not in a rush you should just wait till we receive ours and review them.

Got my red/black and silver/black Vapor Pro cases from Jacky Nie. Put on the red/black one and fitment is great and I love the look. I'll take pics and post tomorrow.

Question about the 2 thin padding strips that come with it...where are those supposed to go?

Well, got my Black Ops case today. and yep, it was loose. The phone moves front to back in the case, not up and down in it. It looks like it should move up and down also, cause I can see gaps near top and bottom. Not sure what I should do with it.

Damn. Mine should arrive Thursday and it's from same seller. I can only assume its going to have a loose fit. I am already prepared to have to rig the case to get it to fit properly. Guess that's the joy of being cheap!

The day I ordered the case there was only one review of the case from that seller and it fit perfect. Should have waited a few days because they have all been bad since.

Jongo, who did you order from?

You guys really should ask to see pics of the actual product that you are receiving. Some good sellers on there will webcam you and show you the actual product. I ordered mine from Simon and he offered, but I told him to just send it. I figured that the offer to show it was enough for me to trust he is inspecting it.

I'll let you guys know how his pans out. I'm also receiving a couple of cases for review from another seller. Deff Cleave and Black Ops knock-offs. I'll keep you guys posted on that as well.

That really sucks Jongo. That is by far the worst quality case out of anyone on here. The paint chips I could live with, but the fitment and jagged edges are intolerable. Send those pics to the person you purchased from. If they don't respond, send it to aliexpress.

You shouldn't have to return it. They can't resell that.

G'day All

I've been following this thread for a while, and i have also purchased from Simon last week. So i would be able to add my opinion too.

Because i order like 5 different element cases, and this thread gets more intensive as people receive their shipping.

Hopefully they will be in mint condition when i received them.
How long does it normally take for the shipping??

you are gonna open a dispute before the seller can offer resolution? douchbag move 100% not to mention a dispute on a fake knock off product?

I'm only in the first stage of a dispute so there is an opportunity for the seller to respond and resolve the issue. I haven't escalated it, and I don't intend to if the seller helps me with the problem.

Knock-off or not, he is providing a product that should work correctly and do as it is described. I've bought plenty of cheap cases that have lasted much longer than this one. After all, he claims that they are Vapor cases and even includes a certificate of authenticity, to me, an average joe, this case is real. Therefore, I expect "real" quality. I do however, know that it is not real and expect something of a lower standard, but I don't expect the paint to fall off it.

Douchebag, I am not.

What's your definition of quality? Paint chipping is the only problem so the whole case isn't quality? Maybe it fits a little loose because the stock rubber pads aren't thick enough? Is that bad quality?

These cases are $20. All of the problems I'm seeing here are very minor. All are easily fixable. From the majority of accounts here, the actual case is good quality for the money. I'm talking about the aluminum and general construction.

By the way, there have been more than enough posts here warning you of the quality of the white's paint.

So a potential buyer MUST scan this forum for posts about the product?!?! I didn't see the posts and was therefore uninformed of the white's quality.

The general case is fine, but something so simple as a paint job should not be where the quality is compromised. I'd much rather sacrifice cost of the fancy allen driver key-ring, the certificate of authenticity and the soft zip case for the actual case to be of a good standard.

No, I'm going off the assumption that you bought these cases after visiting this thread on this forum. If that's the case, then yes, it would have been smart to read through the reviews.

Even if you didn't order based off this thread, a simple Google search on reviews would help. No, you don't have to do this, but with the vast information available to you on the Internet, it would be smart.

Paint chipping is a very minor quality issue. I speak from experience working in the snowboard industry and reviewing many products as hobby. Things like paint are the last concern of a company when it comes to products like snowboard bindings and iPhone cases. Especially when these products have metal like aluminum in them.

I reviewed a pair of $250 Rome bindings that had bad paint chipping issue. Lots of people complained. I emphasized that the functionality of the binding was superb as was the build quality. The paint chipping was a minor issue.

As for your case, take a look at Jongo's post. THAT is poor quality. Paint chips are very minor in his case because the entire frame was built poorly.

Sorry you're getting a hard time for this, but let's face it... you bought a $20 knock-off without doing any research on the subject and made a big complaint about a very minor problem. Others on here have genuine build quality issues and you are angrier than they are over a paint chip.

the thing is paypal will now flag your account for buying counterfeit goods and the seller's account for selling counterfeit goods. You may get lucky and not have any issues but a dispute of chipping paint rather than an email to the seller asking what they can do to fix your problem is a douchebag move. In the grey market world of counterfeit chinese goods and paypal the dispute is the most frowned upon action there is and in the end it makes things harder for the buyers and sellers

I ordered from her on Friday as well. Have you received a tracking number or anything yet?

I got a tracking number on Saturday morning. I can't track it yet though. I guess it hasn't been updated in the system, or she hasn't actually mailed it yet - just put the postage on it.

I take that back. I just checked and it's been accepted in the People's Republic of China. Hopefully it's a short trip to FL.
