Wrong.
I'm not referring to the specific places where these are being manufactured (frankly, irrelevant). I was referring to people (as in this thread) who are buying these regardless of whether they have been "reviewed" and mostly buying off the premise that they are cheap relative to the originals and "good enough" quality.
In relation to Hasan, I'm pointing out that he really doesn't need to waste time to "market" his "copies" if he plans to sell them for approximately the same price as what people (as in this thread) are paying for. As stated before, people seem to be happy to buy this cheap (relative to the original) and "good enough" (relative to the original).
While you're right that some people here are buying purely based off the cheap price, not everyone does so. Many of us are conscious of the reviews which is why most of us are purchasing from the same group of sellers. We are basing our purchases off of the reviews and experiences of previous customers in this thread.
I'm sure Hasan will do good regardless as he's not looking to go big anyway. But he is making a smart move by having people review the cases because if they are in fact quality, the reviews will reflect that. Then others that see this review will have many reasons to purchase Hasan's product over a Chinese seller's.
Regardless of how "unique" his manufacturer is, he's not going to make something "better" than the original quality wise.
This comment of yours highlights your logic. You are jumping to conclusions without any evidence. Please tell me how you know that Hasan's manufacturer won't make a "better" product than the original. You just made a blind assumption. Actually I did as well. I'm blindly assuming that you do not know which manufacturer he is using nor do you know the true quality of the original's. I don't think my assumption is really that far out though. All of this is a moot point anyway as "better" is largely subjective.
Sorry, you're not making a reasonable comparison there. $20 vs $30,000 item does not weight the same from most people's value perspectives in this regards. And his sense of "quality" is not irrelevant since he does have originals to compare to (it's not rocket science). I find it pretty laughable for you to make a statement like that.
I find your comprehension laughable. I used the car salesmen analogy because of the widely known stereotype of them being swindlers. Here, I'll use a dumbed down analogy:
Would you believe a knock-off retailer in a swap meet if they tell you that the quality is exactly the same as the product they are copying? Oh, the hypothetical product is only $20 by the way. I hope you don't. Many of us like to know what others think about the product we are about to purchase. Heck, I like to read reviews of restaurants before I eat at them. Yelp?
I guess you could say, I'm trying to help Hasan to not waste his money on "marketing" a product that doesn't really require it. All things equal, just him selling this from the states is enough of a differentiating factor for most people to order from him over ordering directly from China+2wks ship time. It's business 101 really.
I agree, this probably would hold true. Very likely to be clear. But this does not mean it's good business. I don't know what business classes you took, but the ones I took stressed ethics over profits. How does ethics apply here? We have a seller that can very likely sell his product without the need to send free samples out for review. However, he offered it which shows that he wants to stand behind the product he sells. I commend business practices like this. Stand by what you sell. The very best way to do this is to prove to consumers that your product is worthy of purchase. This is why focus groups exist. This is why snowboard companies send me pre-production boards to review before they release them. THAT IS BUSINESS 101.
By the way, I have a B.S. in business administration so I'm not talking out of my behind.
Have a nice day.
P.S. Sending out a couple of samples is not wasting money. Remember, his cost is much lower than ours. We are probably talking about a few dollars here. Furthermore, it's good to have a positive standing with your products. Sending out a few samples will enable you to make better judgment on whether or not your product is quality before you start selling. Selling based solely on what YOU THINK is quality is a gamble. People might hate it and review it as such. Now you have products leftover that people won't want. Even if you sell those off, you now have a bad standing with people.
